chinahorse 09-05-2019 02:41 PM

I'm in hospital :-/ boring but will hopefully stop me feeling like death.

Cacoethes 09-05-2019 02:46 PM

Yep! Purple

Hope it makes you feel better Lillie
It was a wise decision to go to hospital

not_so_insig 09-05-2019 03:14 PM

Hope you get it sorted Lillie.

not_so_insig 09-05-2019 03:31 PM

They are turning on the local clocks chimes on tomorrow. It hasn't worked for about ten years. They recently restored the clock. Fingers crossed that I cant hear it in my flat but I wouldn't be surprised if you can hear it in the park. Unfortunately today is wet and rainy so I didn't go around the park at the bottom of the road.

one_step_closer 09-05-2019 04:16 PM

I hope your appointment went well Tamo.

Purple hair!!!

I hope things work out ok Lillie.

The clock chimes would maybe be nice to begin with but then I think they'd get annoying.

not_so_insig 09-05-2019 04:20 PM

Yes I could hear it in my old flat (which was even further away from the clock than I'm living now). Annoying and let's hope that they have fitted a silencer at night!

one_step_closer 09-05-2019 04:21 PM

Oh, how did you manage with it when you were in your old flat?

not_so_insig 09-05-2019 04:26 PM

It wasn't too loud so I only heard it a little.

Cacoethes 09-05-2019 04:26 PM

On way back to the ward now
Boooo

not_so_insig 09-05-2019 04:28 PM

Hope you have a safe journey Beckie.

one_step_closer 09-05-2019 04:31 PM

Hopefully it won't be annoyingly loud this time Dawn.

Did you have a nice day at home Beckie?

Cacoethes 09-05-2019 04:45 PM

Thanks Dawn

Yes I did thanks lindsay!
Dont want to go back

Eska 09-05-2019 05:23 PM

Afternoon everyone! I have been messing with spreadsheets in work and I think my brain is a bit fried.

Cacoethes 09-05-2019 05:32 PM

Hey eska!
Ew spreadsheets

Buttons. 09-05-2019 05:42 PM

Evening all. Hope going back to the ward wasn't too terrible Beckie and Eska my brain would be fried as well with spreadsheets. I still remember when I was doing nursing I learnt moref from the HCAs than the nurses because they were stuck in the office doing things like spreadsheets and general paper work.

nonperson 09-05-2019 06:22 PM

Hullo all. How's everyone tonight?

I quite like paperwork as it means I get to sit down for a bit!

one_step_closer 09-05-2019 06:40 PM

I hope you're surviving being back on the ward Beckie. Do you have things to do when electronics are charging?

Hi Eska, best avoid all numbers in boxes for the rest of the day.

How are you Buttons and NP? Sitting down must feel very good when you do lots of physical work.

The cats have slept through their dinner time...what is going on?

nonperson 09-05-2019 06:45 PM

Hey Lindsay. Is it raining? My cat doesn't want to do anything when it's raining, like getting up for breakfast.

I'm very tired...

Eska 09-05-2019 06:46 PM

Beckie I like spreadsheets luckily :) I find them fun!

Buttons paperwork is a lot of my job, makes sense though because I’m not in a clinical role.

Np I like it when I get to stand up and move around at work!

Lindsay that is peculiar!

nonperson 09-05-2019 06:53 PM

Lol Eska. I think we do completely opposite kinds of jobs!

one_step_closer 09-05-2019 06:57 PM

Crookshanks usually tells me it's food time way before it actually is. They are up and fed now. Their official dinner time is 7pm anyway but Crookshanks is usually asking for his food before 6.30pm so I just give them it around 6.30pm.

Are you going to be doing lots of sitting this evening then NP?

Do you ever go for a walk on your break Eska?

tamobhuuta 09-05-2019 06:57 PM

We had torrential rain a few hours ago but it was short lived.

nonperson 09-05-2019 06:59 PM

It's been heavy showers on and off for the last two days here.

Yes, lots of sitting down, Lindsay!!

Stellata 09-05-2019 07:24 PM

Lots of rain here today.

I'm rather frustrated with our office, heating contractors, and not being able to change meds yet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

nonperson 09-05-2019 07:28 PM

Grrr indeed. Will all of those be sorted soonish?

Stellata 09-05-2019 07:30 PM

I'll post it in a rant thread! Then you can read all the gory details!

I have to wait for the psych to write a letter to my GP for the med change.

nonperson 09-05-2019 07:32 PM

Oh dear, I don't know if I want too many gory details. =P

At least the med change is in progress though.

Stellata 09-05-2019 07:33 PM

It's not that gory lol!

Well sort of. I have to tell my therapist who has to tell the psych....

nonperson 09-05-2019 07:36 PM

Ah, just read... no it wasn't gory. Sometimes simple situations end up being the most frustrating things to sort out!

Sort of in progress is better than not at all. =)

Stellata 09-05-2019 07:40 PM

Very frustrating! It's a case of too many people and things and urrghhh!

True!

Thanks. :)

nonperson 09-05-2019 07:51 PM

Yes I know those situations where all you want to do is scream! Good luck sorting it tomorrow - prepare a battle plan tonight for when you go into the office!

Stellata 09-05-2019 07:56 PM

Indeed! Thanks.

How do I convey to them what I mean? This morning the 2 people I spoke to had no clue, and makes me wonder if I can communicate ok or whether they were just clueless...

nonperson 09-05-2019 08:02 PM

I think it's probably that they're just clueless. I don't know if writing something down would help? Like, literally a bullet point list... what the problem is, what keys they will need, etc?

My usual approach to people being dumb is just to be blunt and straight to the point and treat them like idiots! But that sometimes comes off as being rude so.. erm... although not to be advised, it does usually work.

Stellata 09-05-2019 08:04 PM

Thanks. I'll give the list a try.

nonperson 09-05-2019 08:10 PM

Lists are always the way to go.

Stellata 09-05-2019 08:15 PM

Definitely!

Eska 10-05-2019 07:52 AM

Morning everyone

Oh dear Jinxie, how many do you have?

Stellata 10-05-2019 09:39 AM

Morning everyone.

chinahorse 10-05-2019 09:55 AM

tamobhuuta 10-05-2019 10:47 AM

Cacoethes 10-05-2019 12:48 PM

Afternoon guys!

Was woken up by the emergency alarm that didn't stop for 20 mins (the work men couldn't figure out how to turn it off)
Just been snoozing all morning
Still tired!

chinahorse 10-05-2019 01:12 PM

How annoying beckie!

Cacoethes 10-05-2019 01:27 PM

chinahorse 10-05-2019 02:03 PM

one_step_closer 10-05-2019 03:12 PM

Afternoon peoples.

How is your day going Eska? How's your back?

How are you Katie?

Hope you're doing ok Lillie. Not sure if ABBA would help with that..!

How are you Tamo?

Damn unnecessary alarms! I hope your head feels better soon Beckie and you feel less tired.

not_so_insig 10-05-2019 03:24 PM

The news is that either they haven't switched on the local clock or I cant hear it in my flat. Either way I haven't heard it chiming.

chinahorse 10-05-2019 03:29 PM

That's good dawn.

How're you lindsay?

Cacoethes 10-05-2019 03:44 PM

I'm currently trying to self discharge
Let's see how this pans out!
One HCA is on my side but the rest, not so much
