I found it really, really difficult reading. It was a fascinating story, but yeah, effort! Are you also reading The Colour Purple? I loved that book.

Is it any good?

I've finished Count to Ten by Karen Rose. It made me sad that it'd ended.

I'm now debating between re-reading Lord of the Flies or continuing with Cecelia Ahern's new one.

Currently Reading...

I'm currently reading the second of Phillip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, 'The Subtle Knife'. I read the first one, 'Northern Lights' just before Christmas, although I haven't seen the film ('The Golden Compass').

I liked Northern Lights a lot (and a lot more than I expected to), and am finding The Subtle Knife very engaging - I keep having to put it down and go to sleep before I want to - early starts for work in the morning!

Just finished 'Nation' by Terry Pratchett, now going to read 'The grapes of Wrath' by John Stienbeck.

I'm currently reading Necropolis by Anthony Horowitz, and The Vampire's Assistant by Darren Shan (I've read it about sixty times, but I love it sooo much).
