nonperson, sounds like one of Jamie's "30 minute" meals. It takes 30 minutes if you have all the ingredients measured out and ready to use.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:04 PM

Yeah I planned for it to last two days but it might have to be two dinners and two lunches as well.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:05 PM

FreeAtLast, it wasn't a Jamie recipe but I'm just slow at making stuff and refused to make the mash in the oven so had to fanny around peeling more stuff. =P

chinahorse 26-01-2018 10:05 PM

Hallo all :) busy busy here tonight.

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:06 PM

Booo, saves on effort for next few days though.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:06 PM

Can you freeze shepherd's pie?

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:07 PM

Hey Lillie! :) How are you? It is busy in here tonight!

Mash is in the microwave. Nearly dinner time! :D

Would it freeze, Person? If you have a freezer?

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:07 PM

I dunno. Can I re-freeze frozen mince once it's been cooked?

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:08 PM

I used to enjoy cooking, haven't done it for a while. I've bought the ingredients with good intentions and they've gone in the bin so now I live on tins of soup. Saves all the effort.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:09 PM

I used to freeze bolognese and it never did me any harm. You're probably not supposed to.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:09 PM

I try to cook one proper thing a week... otherwise it's freezer meals or pasta!

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:10 PM

Why's everyone from Scotland here?

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:10 PM

Can def freeze mince once cooked, as long as it’s filled down before you do.

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:11 PM

Was the mince cooked when it was frozen? OR did you cook it from raw? If it was cooked from raw, should be OK even if it was frozen. Provided it's in date and everything and as long as you heat it up properly when you want to eat some.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:11 PM

Because we Scots are all mentally deranged and it's not just a stereotype?

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:12 PM

I am not from Scotland. I'm from the opposite of Scotland (the South). I'm going to see a friend in Oban in the Summer though. :)

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:13 PM

Also from the south- Berkshire.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:13 PM

Oh I like Oban, I was there in the summer. Go to Fort William as well, it's nice there. I'm from Glasgow. Well, just outside.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:13 PM

I'm also not from Scotland, not quite as south as you though, Aubergine.

FreeAtLast - ha. ;-)

My mince was frozen raw... so I think it's good to freeze again once cooked.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:14 PM

Oooh I'm Berkshire too!

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:14 PM

Why's everyone here from Berkshire? :p

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:16 PM

XD!

Also there's someone from Essex (can't remember who now.... yoyogirl?) and that's my home county.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:16 PM

Has anyone ever watched or heard of a Channel 4 show called "Hunted"? Basically people go on the run from a team of hunters who try to capture them. I'm thinking of applying for that show, I'm convinced I could win.

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:17 PM

Cos Berkshire is the best!

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:18 PM

I'd go on the run to places like Berkshire and Essex.

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:18 PM

I live where I was born. :P I lived in King's Lynn in Norfolk for nine months though. :)

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:19 PM

I live in the same place I was born as well. One day I'm going to relocate to Germany or, well, anywhere not here.

I’m going to Oban in March. You will like it. Take a walk up to McCaigs tower. Gorgeous!

Sketchy 26-01-2018 10:20 PM

I’ve never heard of that program.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:21 PM

FreeAtLast - I watched the first episode of Hunted! Was quite interesting. Keep missing the others though.

You've missed this series, it's the final next week. If you've suffered from psychosis then you'd automatically be good at it. No one I've told has thought it's a good idea but they probably do psychological testing on you to make sure it wouldn't make you paranoid to the point of insane.

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:23 PM

Ooo things to do in Oban! :) Thanks! :) I've been warned about mosquitoes on the islands... My manager is from Scotland.

I've not heard of it, either! Is it good?

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:24 PM

So long as you don't get in touch with anyone you know for a month it'd be pretty easy to hide without being caught. Just hitch-hike and move from place to place.

Sorry, that was really off-topic.

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:24 PM

I think you'll find that Berkshire is not the best. Mainly because I live here, and not there. ;)

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:25 PM

I think it'd make me paranoid if I kept watching it.

You're probably right. The Queen lives here though.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:27 PM

Technically you are being watched constantly, there's a reason to be paranoid. Any time you walk down the street people in a control centre can track your movements, not that they are, but technically they could be.

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:28 PM

I'd like to live in the Queen's house.

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:29 PM

I can see it from here. =)

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:32 PM

I just did a quick Google and the royals have 8 royal residences. Including two yachts.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:33 PM

Do you know for a minute there I was going to ask if you could really see Buckingham Palace from your house. :D

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:34 PM

Haha! I used to be able to see the Queen’s house from my college. Now I’m just part of her royal borough ;-)

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:36 PM

I didn't say it was Buck Palace that I could see. =)

Aubergine 26-01-2018 10:36 PM

Nice! :)

I do not live near royalty. Stephen Fry lives in Norfolk though, and I lived there once, so that's close enough... I know there's Sandringham there, went to the estate a few times, but Stephen Fry, you know?!

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:36 PM

I feel so inferior, all I can see from my house is Spar. And I've never even visited her royal borough. I've just not lived. :D

nonperson 26-01-2018 10:37 PM

Me also, Pomegranate. I can probably see you from my house as well. o.O;

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:37 PM

Haha, I went to college in Windsor!

Omg. I’d rather live near Stephen Fry I think. I reckon I could turn stalker for him.

Cheryl88 26-01-2018 10:38 PM

Isn't he connected to Norwich FC with Delia? I'll always remember that video of her on the pitch pissed out of her head screaming at the fans. Can you post youtube links here?

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 10:38 PM
