Cacoethes 06-03-2020 08:06 PM

There are dragonflies EVERYWHERE where my mum lives!

nonperson 06-03-2020 08:20 PM

Is there lots of water where she lives?

Cacoethes 06-03-2020 09:25 PM

Yes they live right behind the country park with a huge lake and rivers.

That sounds amazing redcat

nonperson 06-03-2020 09:35 PM

That's really cool, Beckie.

Has anyone seen dragonfly nymphs before? I found a load of their skins in my pond one year - horrifying! Although quite nice to know they breed there.

Cacoethes 06-03-2020 10:14 PM

I don't know what they are!!!

Shirayuki 06-03-2020 11:04 PM

hey guys, how are you?

I have no idea what those are NP!

nonperson 07-03-2020 12:26 AM

They're just a different stage of the dragonfly's development but they look totally different and kinda creepy, especially when they leave their skins behind.

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 08:54 AM

That does sound weird np!

Morning everyone

nonperson 07-03-2020 11:06 AM

Morning.

I was woken up by my neighbour chopping wood outside my window...

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 11:12 AM

How annoying!

I was woken up a few times to have my blood pressure checked. And then finally woken at around 7am because of general ward busyness

nonperson 07-03-2020 11:54 AM

That sucks. Hope you get out of there today.

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 12:14 PM

Thanks
I hope so too!
Had an echocardiogram this morning and waiting to hear if I need another IV.

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 01:05 PM

Thanks both
Yes it is a bit scary redcat! Especially as my ECG yesterday was abnormal.

The sticky pads are awful! Lol

How are you guys?

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 02:05 PM

It should be ok today.
They gave me some meds for it yesterday

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 03:33 PM

Yeah it is a bit concerning!

It is frustrating
I am on heart meds usually but clearly they aren't doing the job!

one_step_closer 07-03-2020 04:20 PM

I had a couple of abnormal ECGS and then was sent for an echo but no one seems to be able to find the results to give me them.

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 05:57 PM

I was under cardiology but discharged now
I'm on ivabradine or however you spell it
Also take statin tablets.

My cardiologist was actually really good and only took a few weeks to get an appointment

Thats terrible lindsay
They should be chasing that up

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 07:45 PM

Bodies are strange

zombiehunter 07-03-2020 07:54 PM

Hi coco :-D

Cacoethes 07-03-2020 08:34 PM

Hey zombie
How's it going?

zombiehunter 07-03-2020 08:37 PM

all good thanks :-D

started my martial arts course on Thursday there it went really well :-D

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 09:02 AM

Possibly. I have no idea anymore!
I have ECGs all the time, mainly because I have seizures a lot and they always do an ECG in the ambulance

Morning everyone

Eska 08-03-2020 09:42 AM

Morning Beckie, how's it going?

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 09:51 AM

Not too bad.
Just had some porridge for breakfast

How are you?

Eska 08-03-2020 10:37 AM

Mmm porridge.

I'm ok. Ticking along.

tamobhuuta 08-03-2020 10:41 AM

Eurgh to porridge Ready Brek all the way.

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 11:03 AM

Glad you're ok eska
Any plans for today?

Ready brek is preferable but I also like porridge! Espeically with raisins mixed in but I dont have that luxury here!

tamobhuuta 08-03-2020 11:08 AM

And honey

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 11:11 AM

Honey is also good.
Though I didn't like it until relatively recently!
I love banana and honey sandwiches *is weird*

tamobhuuta 08-03-2020 11:29 AM

That's weird, but I don't like solid bananas, just smoothies and cake.

Eska 08-03-2020 12:08 PM

I'm catching up with some friends later, apart from that not much.

nonperson 08-03-2020 12:10 PM

Morning all.

Eww banana. I'll only have them in smoothies.

I've been on the porridge the past few mornings, it's nice and soft on my sore throat. Haven't had Ready Brek in years.

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 12:21 PM

Hope you have a good time eska

A lot of people have issues with banana!
I love them!

Hope you feel better soon np
Being ill is miserable

nonperson 08-03-2020 12:31 PM

That sounds like a nice day, Eska.

There's nothing nice about banana! The taste, the texture, the white stringy bits, the way you have to eat them. XD

This seems to be a particularly miserable kind of ill too. =(

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 01:27 PM

I rarely get bananas because I'd be too tempted to eat them all in one go!

Ugh. How awful :(

one_step_closer 08-03-2020 01:31 PM

I tried Lillie's recipe of porridge and peanut butter this morning. I added some bananas too.

Cacoethes 08-03-2020 04:40 PM

That is indeed an awesome breakfast!

nonperson 08-03-2020 06:08 PM

I'm going to boycott this thread until people stop talking about bananas.

tamobhuuta 08-03-2020 06:28 PM

How about sultanas? Sometimes when I need a semi healthy snack a handful of sultanas does the trick.

Shirayuki 08-03-2020 06:48 PM

Hey guys, how are you?

Oh no! Np I hope you feel better soon!

I love bananas! They're great!

ewww honey :P

what are sultanas?

I don't like porridge/oatmeal either :/

to slimy for me *shudders*

OSC! haven't seen you in a while, how are you? and how's your vision? I think I remember you saying something about it last time ^^"

tamobhuuta 08-03-2020 06:53 PM

Sultanas are like extra juicy raisins.

Shirayuki 08-03-2020 06:55 PM

ooh, I like raisins-

how are you Tamo?

Cacoethes 09-03-2020 08:48 AM

Morning guys

What about stewed apple and yoghurt? I also used to like grilled apple and cheese but cheese sets my acid off now. It’s a shame as I miss the taste.

I'm incredibly bananaphobic. =P

Never had stewed or grilled apple. Not much of an apple fan either but I do like a baked apple with honey and sultanas from time to time.

Morning all. I'm currently trying to decide whether to ring the doctors or not. =/

How's everyone?

Cacoethes 09-03-2020 10:37 AM

Ring the doctors np!!!

I'm ok. Hoping to get discharged from the general hospital today

nonperson 09-03-2020 11:03 AM

Ugh, don't make me call them! =P I'm dreading getting an unhelpful receptionist who will tell me that I'm potentially contagious and to quarantine myself.

That's good news. =)

Cacoethes 09-03-2020 12:52 PM

Caaallll theeemmmm!!!

I'm not getting discharged. Booooo!

Cacoethes 09-03-2020 01:24 PM

Because of the seizures I think
Have to have an EEG and consult with neurologist person

I'm looking forward to when the coffee next comes round

Chocolate biscuits are preferable to cereal bars!

nonperson 09-03-2020 01:44 PM

Ah Beckie that really sucks! Better to be discharged later than too soon though so it is for the best (not a comforting statement, I know). You'll get out of there one day, I promise!

Mmmm, I have some chocolate hobnobs in the cupboard that I keep forgetting about.

I did ring the doctors, as expected the unhelpful receptionist simply said "Call 111", nothing else.... so I did. On hold for half an hour but the friendly man thinks I'm fine despite symptoms and having been abroad and thankfully didn't suggest self-isolation. So got back on the phone to the same receptionist who did eventually make an appointment for me this afternoon.

Work have back-to-work protocols I need to follow as well. Crazy, isn't it. o.o

Cacoethes 09-03-2020 01:48 PM

Yeah that's true
Last thing I want is to be discharged and then end up back in A&E again!

Yum! Chocolate hobnobs!

Well done for getting all that sorted! Even though it sounds like a pain in the bum!
