Cacoethes 30-12-2019 11:57 AM

Morning guys

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 12:09 PM

Hi Beckie. How are you?

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 12:15 PM

I am also meh. I think it's going to be one of those days.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 12:24 PM

I'm ok thanks
How are you lindsay?

Sorry you guys aren't feeling great.
I hope it improves throughout the day

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 12:27 PM

Who's busy today?

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 12:34 PM

I'll join the meh club.

I'm glad you're ok Beckie.

I'm seeing my CPN at 3pm but apart from that I have nothing else to do. Been to the shop.

What are you all doing?

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 12:38 PM

I'm just going to be sitting at home hoping that my CC doesn't contact me :p

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 12:39 PM

Well done for shopping osc.

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 12:51 PM

I hope you're not too anxious worrying about that Beckie.

Thanks Tamo.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 01:10 PM

I am a bit anxious about it
But so far so good!

nonperson 30-12-2019 01:33 PM

I have been to work and only had to take one break, then I had a small burst of energy when I got home and put the bird feeders back out and dug up some tender plants in the garden that need protection over winter (done it a bit late but better late than never)... Think I'm finally on the mend.

Crumpets for lunch, I think!

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 01:35 PM

Mmm tastey. Recently I've been having eggy bread.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 01:38 PM

Well done np!
Glad you're feeling better too

I'm having lentil soup for lunch

nonperson 30-12-2019 01:42 PM

Think I still need to sit down for the rest of the afternoon though. =/

I've never had eggy bread!

Lentil soup is nice.

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 01:47 PM

Yeah lentil soup is good, and healthy. I do like a lentil.

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 01:57 PM

Well done NP.

I also had lentil soup for lunch (with ham in it too) Aldi do a nice one.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 02:01 PM

That's fair enough np
You've done a lot today!

I've never tried an aldi one lindsay
Might have to give it a go!

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 02:03 PM

It was a chilled one not a tinned one. It was only about 85p too and lasted me 2 days.

Did you have/are you having bread with your soup?

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 02:13 PM

Not bad!

No. I don't buy bread because I'll never finish it before it goes mouldy

nonperson 30-12-2019 02:16 PM

That's why I put bread in the freezer. =)

one_step_closer 30-12-2019 02:18 PM

Me too NP, we are such adults!

I felt like a proper adult this week when I put my bin out on the right day since it had changed for the holidays.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 02:21 PM

I always knew you could put bread in the freezer but I don't know why it never occured to me that I should do it!
*facepalm*

Ooo well done lindsay!

nonperson 30-12-2019 02:24 PM

Some people don't like it after it's defrosted but I think it's fine.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 02:32 PM

I'd probably only use it for soup dipping so wouldn't mind it being defrosted I don't think!

chinahorse 30-12-2019 02:32 PM

I dont like it defrosted. So split the loaf in half. Half for fresh and freeze the rest and toast it from frozen because it's not offensive toasted.

chinahorse 30-12-2019 02:35 PM

The clock I ordered off amazon arrived smashed into about 28 pieces. And stupid royal mail gave it to my neighbour and put a card through my door when I was in so I had to go get it too. Am really annoyed. Because now I have to go to the library and the post office to return it even though they messed up.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 02:41 PM

Ugh that's awful Lillie
I hope you can get it sorted

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 02:57 PM

That's rubbish China. How frustrating.

Indigo. 30-12-2019 03:01 PM

Hi all!

That's terrible Lillie :( I hope you can get it sorted quickly x

I broke the mirror in my hallway yesterday, so today am going to buy a new one :/

I don't know how I feel about defrosted bread, sounds like it would be...soggy, unless toasted.

nonperson 30-12-2019 03:05 PM

Yeah I usually toast defrosted bread too and separate it before freezing. The stuff I buy doesn't seem to go soggy though.

Damn, that is a bad delivery. Might be able to get money off or something? Complaining to Amazon sometimes results in a giftcard or free delivery or something.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 03:52 PM

What's everyone up to this afternoon?

nonperson 30-12-2019 03:57 PM

Watching Captain Marvel with a cat on my lap.

And looking up travel insurance as the place I used before apparently can't cover me this time... *frown*

What're you up to?

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 04:00 PM

Good film

Thats annoying!

I'm watching The Witcher. It's pretty good

nonperson 30-12-2019 04:19 PM

Very annoying...

Don't think I know what the Witcher is. Sounds scary?

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 04:23 PM

The Witcher is a video game. I think it may also be a book
It's kind of game of thrones-ish but not so extreme as it's only rated 15

not_so_insig 30-12-2019 04:52 PM

I am busy writing everything in my new diary. Wrote everything bar when my depot is due (mainly because I dont know when my cpn is coming), 2 people's birthdays and when my house insurance is due (basically I dont know when that is without the letter). Took over 30 mins and I am pleased that I remembered everything.

tamobhuuta 30-12-2019 05:07 PM

Well done. It took me about two minutes...

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 05:14 PM

I only use the diary on my phone
Don't bother with physical diaries

not_so_insig 30-12-2019 05:19 PM

I tend to forget about my phone. Then I would worry about having no battery or losing my phone. My diary never leaves my flat.

nonperson 30-12-2019 05:37 PM

I have a calendar hung on the cupboard. That's one of the jobs I need to do tomorrow, transfer everything over and write all my working weekends on it.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 05:42 PM

My CC bought me a calendar so I wouldn't forget any appointments. I should probably fill that in at some point

Indigo. 30-12-2019 06:19 PM

Sounds useful Dawn! I had a WHSmiths voucher so got myself a pretty agenda/diary for the coming year. I have a physical work diary, a digital work diary, and I write things down on my phone too. I need a lot of organisation due to ADHD.

Beckie, I'm wondering what The Witcher is like. I liked the video game/s.

NP, oh I need to watch Captain Marvel, it's the only Marvel movie I haven't seen.

nonperson 30-12-2019 06:26 PM

You do need to watch it!

I still haven't seen Black Panther or any of the new Spiderman ones and there's one Captain America that I need to watch again because I can't remember anything about it except a giant Ant Man! Otherwise I think I'm up to date... Psyching myself up to watch Endgame again.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 06:36 PM

The Witcher is good!
I'm enjoying it at least

Yes you do need to watch it Lucy!

You need to do some catching up then np

not_so_insig 30-12-2019 06:38 PM

I am watching top of the pops new year special. I am not enjoying it as most of the music is a bit samey.

nonperson 30-12-2019 06:47 PM

Can't remember when I last watched Top of the Pops... It used to be a Friday night ritual.

Cacoethes 30-12-2019 07:02 PM

I'm still watching the Witcher!
