Ahimsa 10-05-2025 11:27 AM

Oh thats not good, have you had enough to drink?

I've been to yoga, and I need to do all my house things and the washing as I'm working tomorrow and then the rest of next week, so it's my only day off until next weekend.

I'm tempted to put the washing on and have a nap though.

Cacoethes 10-05-2025 11:35 AM

Yep! Been drinking loads, in case it was that.

I vote for nap! You work so so hard and deserve and need some rest time!

not_so_insig 10-05-2025 01:17 PM

Afternoon all. I had a bad night's sleep last night. More details in my r/v. Off I go to watch Doctor Who.

one_step_closer 10-05-2025 01:48 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Is your headache any better yet, Beckie?

Definitely do something nice for yourself, Beth. Even if it's just a nap.

Sorry you had a bad sleep, Dawn. I hope your day goes ok.

Ahimsa 10-05-2025 01:58 PM

Hey OSC, Insig.

I had a nap, and I've vacuumed half my room and put a wash on. I'm meant to be going to a leaving do tonight, think I'll show my face for an hour or so as it's at 7pm, so I can leave early! Don't want to get home after 10pm when I've got work in the morning.

not_so_insig 10-05-2025 04:02 PM

Doctor Who was a load of crap. I didn't watch the whole episode because I got fed up.

Thanks Lindsay. I fell asleep before so i feel normal now.

tamobhuuta 10-05-2025 04:21 PM

Hi everyone. I'm impressed by all the coping going on.

Cacoethes 10-05-2025 04:24 PM

The headaches is still headaching unfortunately
Only 4½ hours to go D:

one_step_closer 10-05-2025 05:53 PM

That sounds like a good plan, Beth. I hope you can enjoy the leaving do and then get home.

Did you choose something else to do, Dawn?

Hi Tamo, how are you doing today?

Are you managing ok at work, Beckie?

tamobhuuta 10-05-2025 07:31 PM

I'm doing ok thanks osc. Had a nice calm day. How was your day?

Cacoethes 10-05-2025 10:05 PM

Hey everyone
Just got home

Cacoethes 11-05-2025 08:36 AM

Morning everyone

not_so_insig 11-05-2025 12:11 PM

Afternoon all. I didn't sleep well again last night but for different reasons. Am really physically unwell today so I don't know how much I will be here today.

one_step_closer 11-05-2025 12:27 PM

Afternoon everyone.

How are you feeling today, Beckie?

Look after yourself, Dawn.

not_so_insig 11-05-2025 12:55 PM

Thanks Lindsay. How are you?

Ahimsa 11-05-2025 02:08 PM

Hey all,

Hope you're feeling better soon Insig.

Annoyingly the person who does the pub rotas didn't read my message properly about what shifts I can do this week to help them out, so I've got a 12-9 at my actual job and a 5-10 at the pub. Which isn't going to work!!

tamobhuuta 11-05-2025 02:30 PM

Hi everyone.

Oh dear Ahimsa. Which shift is easier to change?

not_so_insig 11-05-2025 03:35 PM

Thanks Beth. How annoying re: your shift times!

Ahimsa 11-05-2025 04:11 PM

Well, my 12-9 is my actual job and there is no one to cover it. So me not coming in leaves the hospital short and doubles my list for Tuesday. Plus if I phone in sick and they find out I'm doing a pub shift, I could lose my job.

The 5-10 is a pub shift, i said in March I could do a handful of shifts to help them out around my full time job but not long term and only around my main job.ive been telling them the shifts I can do, and they've put me on them. Tomorrow isn't on the list.

one_step_closer 11-05-2025 05:21 PM

That sounds really frustrating, Beth. Is the pub sorting things out?

Hi, Tamo. How are you today?

Ahimsa 11-05-2025 05:59 PM

They didn't reply to my message about it last night or earlier today, so I'll speak to them about it tonight when I'm there reading the quiz. They'll have to sort it out though.

one_step_closer 11-05-2025 06:51 PM

That's really unfair of them since you're helping them out.

Ahimsa 11-05-2025 08:03 PM

They'll have just been busy, it wont have been deliberate.

tamobhuuta 11-05-2025 09:12 PM

I'm ok thanks. I managed to have a shower. How are you?

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 07:54 AM

Morning guys

Ahimsa 12-05-2025 10:57 AM

Morning Beckie.

How're you?

I'm hoping my drs phone me today, I've had a lump on my wrist for 3 weeks, but you can't book appointments over the phone, you have to submit a request between 8am-12pm, and the option to do so disappears at 12pm. I've been starting work at 7:30am, and my lunchbreak is at 12, so haven't been able to do anything about it.

If they don't call me back before I start work at 12, I'll have to try again on my week off at the end of the month which is annoying.

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 11:06 AM

Morning beth!
I'm ok thanks. Had a productive morning.
Did my morning things, hung out 2 loads of washing, cleaned out piggos, put their washing on and showered.

Well that's a ridiculous system. How on earth do they expect people who work to get an appointment?? It's one thing taking time off to GO to an appointment, but taking time off to just book one shouldn't be a thing!

Everything crossed that they call before 12!

Well, they'll call you "at some point" and decide whether to give you an appointment or not. I wouldn't get a time confirmed for a call or anything. If you miss the call, you have to try again and submit a new request the next day.

Thats a very productive morning!!

Ahimsa 12-05-2025 11:12 AM

Oh they've sent me a message. They won't see me. I sent a photo of it and they said to monitor it for a while (apparently a lump for 3 weeks isn't concerning) and if it gets more painful or reduces my wrist movement they'll put me on a surgical waiting list. But keep an eye and it may disappear but usually takes a few years.

So no appointment for me.

My other local drs, was shut down by the CQC not long ago for how bad they were, they rang once and told me someone else results, and when I complained and explained that they told me a) wasn't mine, and b) was linked to my trauma, I got an "oh, sorry. Mistakes happen."

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 11:17 AM

I despair!
That is utterly ridiculous
Is 3 weeks not enough for monitoring it?! Are you meant to monitor it indefinitely??
Could you go to a walk in centre? Idk if they'd be more helpful. Or a pharmacist?

I'm going to town soon to get my meds, butter for brownies, meet L for her break and then make brownies. And the washing should be dry by then, so i can fold that and hang the piggos washing out.

Ahimsa 12-05-2025 11:20 AM

The last time I went to a walk in centre, I was there 6 hours with a torn spasming muscle in my back (my GP wouldn't see me, and 999 said even as a woman living alone who was on the floor and couldn't move, they wouldn't send anyone and to go to my GP, so my retired Dad had to try get me up and into his car) - and the only way there is to drive, and its in the area of my town known for shootings! So ideally not! ;)

I'll let you know if my wrist or hand fall off!

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 11:52 AM

Good lord! Services in your area really do sound ****!!!

tamobhuuta 12-05-2025 12:38 PM

3 YEARS?

one_step_closer 12-05-2025 01:20 PM

Afternoon everyone.

I can relate to having a not so ideal GP service, Beth. I hope you're ok.

You've done lots and have lots planned, Beckie. Not anything out of the ordinary then!

Hi, Tamo. Are you ok?

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 01:28 PM

Hey lindsay!
How are you?

Not really! Got to do all my life admin while I can!
Meds and butter have been obtained and I got an iced caramel latte for L for her break.
Back home now.

Hey tamo! How're things?

tamobhuuta 12-05-2025 06:04 PM

I am ok thanks guys. I killed the music group, we went from a small group of 3 to just me. The same thing's been happening at the tai chi group. I must have a vibe.

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 06:11 PM

Nah. Patients be like that sometimes!
I was the only one in a health group once

one_step_closer 12-05-2025 06:20 PM

I think that says something positive about you, Tamo, rather than negative. Like Beckie said people often drift away from groups.

Are you having a less busy evening, Beckie?

I'm not feeling very physically well and also getting overwhelmed by MH stuff.

tamobhuuta 12-05-2025 09:11 PM

Thanks for the reassurance guys :) how are your evenings?

Cacoethes 12-05-2025 09:53 PM

I had krav this evening so not really lindsay XD
Was lots of fun though!

Sorry to hear that lindsay. I hope things improve

Cacoethes 13-05-2025 07:48 AM

Morning guys

one_step_closer 13-05-2025 12:02 PM

Afternoon (just).

How are you today, Beckie?

Cacoethes 13-05-2025 12:21 PM

I'm ok thanks. Been fairly productive again!
Did washing, did morning things, went to GP appointment, went to the retail park and then town (to get hayfever supplies for L and bread!) And an iced caramel latte for L. I'm waiting for her to come out for her break now :)

How are you? Feeling any better today?

tamobhuuta 13-05-2025 01:47 PM

Hi everyone.

Well done for things Cacoethes.

How are you osc?

Cacoethes 13-05-2025 02:02 PM

Thanks tamo!

How are you?

not_so_insig 13-05-2025 05:37 PM

Hello all. I have had tesco today so was busy putting my stuff away. It's very hot here but fortunately I seem to be coping ok.

No wild swimming tomorrow as the person i go with can't do it. It will be nice to have a day to myself as this week has been busy so far.

one_step_closer 13-05-2025 05:52 PM

Well done with all your tasks, Beckie. I hope you got yourself a nice cool drink.

I'm feeling less intensely physically unwell than I did yesterday but still not great. I finally have a GP appointment tomorrow so I'm really hoping I get some answers or be referred to someone who can figure it out because the last GP just said she didn't know what was going on and left it at that.

How are you, Tamo?

It's really hot here too, Dawn. I'm glad you're managing ok. That's a shame about wild swimming but good you'll be getting some time to yourself.

Cacoethes 13-05-2025 06:58 PM

Thank you lindsay!
I put some cans of coke in the fridge so they've been nice today!

I really hope the GP actually listens to you tomorrow lindsay! Some doctors can be so bad at dismissing things. I wouldn't leave until I got a referral to *anyone*!

long road 13-05-2025 07:11 PM

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow Lindsay.

Hot here too, been messing with my breathing a bit.

Will try and be around more I do miss hanging out with you guys. Just finding it hard.

Cacoethes 13-05-2025 07:43 PM

No pressure jen!
Focus on yourself :)
Hopefully your breathing settles down
