chinahorse 05-05-2018 07:28 PM

I've got a couple of my fav that I bought ages ago but haven't got around to watching yet but I'm so so tired. Mostly am just fighting not ro go to bed.

What shows are you going to catch up on?

one_step_closer 05-05-2018 07:43 PM

When is a reasonable time for you to go to bed? Are there things you can do that don't increase the tiredness until you're ready to sleep? What are your fav DVDs?

I've got one episode of Holby to catch up with. I've also got the DVDs of the series Nurse Jackie which I'm working through. I'm not going to watch Casualty tonight because I don't have the ability to pause live TV so I'd rather watch it on catch up when I am able to pause it.

Serendipity. 05-05-2018 09:14 PM

I haven't watched Holby or Casualty in aaaages!

I hope you're all having a good evening :)

not_so_insig 06-05-2018 12:07 AM

Lindsay I have been to Olympia in the 1990s. Apart from that nope.

not_so_insig 06-05-2018 12:54 AM

*bangs a gong whilst stimulatiously rings a bell*

Remember folks no Casualty next week due to Eurovision.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 01:26 AM

Toddlers church tomorrow morning and I am not asleep!

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:34 AM

Oh no aubergine, is it early?

I need to stop going to bed at like half 8.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 02:36 AM

Not too early. Have to be there at 10am. So I have to leave at 9:55am, as I live less then 5 minutes away from church. I would just rather get more sleep!

20:30 is early to go to bed. Frustrating when all you want to do it sleep though.

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:40 AM

Well at least it's not super early but I feel you on the sleep front.

Yeah my fibro is making life hard rn, all I want is to be in bed asleep but often I'm woken up by pain. Sucks.
But I'm Gunna go get a nice cuppa and see if that helps.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 02:41 AM

A nice cup of tea sounds good. :) How do you take it? Fibro sounds like an absolute nightmare. I'm sorry that you're suffering.

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:56 AM

Thanks lovely one. Maybe you should try a nice soothing hot drink also?

It is soul destroying but I'm hoping that the combo of my new job and seeing the pain clinic next week will start to help. I'm also better today because of the warmer weather- I seem to react physically to atmospheric pressure.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 03:10 AM

Thank you. I might get a Tassimo hot chocolate or something. Or, actually, I've got some instant Horlicks in the cupboard. I think I'll have some of that.

Is new job easier on your body? Do you run around less? Warmer weather is great. It's good for the body and soul, I find. :)

chinahorse 06-05-2018 03:25 AM

Each to their own on the Horlicks front :-P

My new job is better but I find the chair isn't good at all and I have to make the effort to get up and move evey so often or I get really sore. I do miss wearing leggings and trainers though!

nonperson 06-05-2018 03:32 AM

Hello late night people.

I like Horlicks, it reminds me of my dad. =) But I prefer the chocolate one.

Could you request a better chair?

Aubergine 06-05-2018 03:36 AM

Hehe Lillie. :P

Hooray for other Horlicks drinkers! I've never had the chocolate one. Cool that it reminds you of your Dad, Person. :)

chinahorse 06-05-2018 03:41 AM

In my old place we used to do a chocolate malt milkshake. Was essentially like drinking a Malteser lol

Aubergine 06-05-2018 03:42 AM

Oh that sounds yum! :)

Best I can come up with is chocolate Movicol for children!

nonperson 06-05-2018 03:46 AM

Mmmmmm, love Maltesers.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 03:47 AM

Me too!

I want a banana and coconut muffin! Had one a few hours ago though. It is the next day, mind. So...

nonperson 06-05-2018 03:50 AM

Have one! There's no rule that you can only have one a day.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 03:56 AM

Hehe that's true.

Must put my thermos cup in my bag ready for church tomorrow, actually. I'll forget otherwise and will only get a tiny cup of tea in a cardboard cup. :(

Do you have plans for tomorrow?

Aubergine 06-05-2018 04:01 AM

My step-mum brought sparkly flowers with her when she came for dinner with my Dad. <3

nonperson 06-05-2018 04:06 AM

Wowee! Fancy flowers. =P

No real plans, just gonna see what happens.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 04:11 AM

Super fancy flowers! Cat likes them too... >.<

Sounds like a plan. Go with the flow. :)

I'm looking up lesson plans for toddlers tomorrow. I think we're going to do about praying. Realy need to get my printer working in order to print the (copied from the internet :P) thing off as well as a craft activity, but it's not connected to the new wifi yet and I can't remember how. Google will be my friend, but first I have to move from the bed. Perhaps not at 4am...

nonperson 06-05-2018 04:20 AM

Naughty cat.

I think trying to sort anything like that out at 4am is a bad idea. =P

What craft activity have you got planned?

Aubergine 06-05-2018 04:37 AM

Well, I connected it, but it's out of black ink. So I'm going to have to message my friend in the (proper) morning and ask her if she can bring the stuff with her!

Craft activity is "listening" so I've cut some big ears out of cardboard. We're going to paint them and talk about the different ways we can listen/the things we listen to, and we'll then help them write a couple of their idea on the ears :)

nonperson 06-05-2018 04:47 AM

Haha, I think the kids will love big ears. =P

Aubergine 06-05-2018 04:53 AM

Hehe. I hope so. :P

I put a plea out on the kid's church Facebook group for someone who's on team to print some stuff out and bring it with them. Fingers crossed someone answers me. :/

My eyes are gritty. I should sleep. You should sleep! I can't sleep because I'm so relieved that I'm feeling OK that I am too awake to sleep!

nonperson 06-05-2018 04:58 AM

I should sleep, it's getting light out and the birds are singing.

Maybe once you try to sleep you'll sleep well because of feeling relieved. If that makes sense.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 05:01 AM

Go to sleep! :) Light here too, but I can't hear any birds.

I don't know. I did try and sleep and was lying for an hour or so, then got frustrated, so got up again. I try and sleep and then go "arrrgghhhh I'm OK!!!" and it feels nice. :)

nonperson 06-05-2018 05:10 AM

Hehe, well maybe stay awake then and enjoy that feeling some more. =P

I am going to head to bed so I'll say "goodnight".

Have fun with the kids tomorrow. =)

Aubergine 06-05-2018 05:26 AM

Night night!

Thanks. :)

I'm sure I'll speak to you at some point!

Serendipity. 06-05-2018 06:08 AM

I hope you all manage/d to get some sleep!!

Aubergine 06-05-2018 06:09 AM

Hey Hannah. :)

Nope!

Serendipity. 06-05-2018 06:12 AM

Oh dear Ducky! I hope your day isn't too horrible/exhausting!

Aubergine 06-05-2018 06:15 AM

Thanks! Eight 2 to 4 year olds for an hour and a half should keep me busy! Then I plan on going to the park to try and sleep in the sun. :)

Did you sleep?

Serendipity. 06-05-2018 06:19 AM

Haha, have fun with all the children :P Going to the park sounds nice - make sure you put on plenty of sun block if you're going to fall asleep!

Yeah, it took a while to get off to sleep but I did in the end. I'm still shattered. Work soon, woe.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 06:27 AM

Haha thanks. You are too kind. :P

I will put on sun block. Factor 50! :)

I'm glad you slept in the end. Can imagine that you are shattered. Boo to work. Are you well enough to go, if you got sent home yesterday? It would be nicer to have another iced coffee in tha park... :P

Serendipity. 06-05-2018 07:09 AM

I know, I really am :P

Good good! Sunburn is not fun! I wish I could get a tan but I literally can't. I just burn and then go back to being pale :P

Haha it really would, wouldn't it?! I'm not feeling as bad as I was though, and if I didn't go in the night shift would just get stuck there allll day and then all night again, and I'm too nice to let that happen :P

chinahorse 06-05-2018 09:16 AM

Oh dear aubergine you must be tired out! I hope kids church goes ok :) I appove of snoozing in the sunshine.

You are nice hannah! Working when youre under the weather is horrible. I hope the shift goes quickly.

I dropped back off eventually. Been woken up by upstairs but I was dozing so I can't be too mad.

chinahorse 06-05-2018 12:38 PM

I'm in so much pain it's made me vomit :( someone distract me!!

nonperson 06-05-2018 01:45 PM

Oh no. =(

I don't know how to distract you.... *juggles?!*

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:04 PM

Don't drop anything!!

Torn between seeing if a nap will help or a gentle stroll in the sun.

nonperson 06-05-2018 02:10 PM

Or combine both and have a nap in the sun?

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:15 PM

I would but I don't have a garden.

What're you up to?

nonperson 06-05-2018 02:18 PM

I'm trying to decide whether to go out or not... and where to go out.

Pomegranate 06-05-2018 02:33 PM

Afternoon all.

What did you both decide to do?

chinahorse 06-05-2018 02:45 PM

May as well make the most of the weather NP.

I went out and am sat on a bench by the sea watching the world go by. Just realised nothing I'm wearing matches though. Oops.

What're you up to emma?

nonperson 06-05-2018 02:48 PM

I'd rather avoid the weather to be perfectly honest.

Sitting by the sea watching the world sounds nice though. =)

I'm heading out now, see you all later.

Aubergine 06-05-2018 02:49 PM
