Watching Harry Potter is way more fun than cutting grass.

Afternoon Eska, are you feeling refreshed after your sleep?

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 02:59 PM

That is true!
I hate cutting the grass

Aubergine 25-04-2018 03:01 PM

Hiya. Again!

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 03:01 PM

Do you have a big garden?

Mine is absolutely huge. My neighbour has been cutting my grass but I applied to the council to do it for me (because it's too much for me with my mood and stuff) and they've said they'll do it. Part of it has been cut but not all of it so I'm not sure if it was my neighbour starting it or if the council have decided they will only cut part of it.

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 03:02 PM

Hi Aubergine. :) How are you?

Aubergine 25-04-2018 03:08 PM

Hey Lindsay. I'm ok. Tired. How are you?

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 03:10 PM

Are you able to take it easy now or have you got things on?

I'm trying to decide if I want to watch something or read my book, so at the moment I'm stuck online.

Aubergine 25-04-2018 03:13 PM

I hope you can decide. What is the book/programme.

I'm able to rest until 4:30 , then I've got kid's branch group at church for an hour. Just been for an hour and a half long walk with a friend. Was nice, but I am tired.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 03:14 PM

I don't have a garden.
It's more of a patch of grass outside my house.
Would like to plant some flowers or something but I'm not a fan of gardening and I'm crap at it anyway!

That's strange Lindsay.
Hopefully the council will be able to do the rest soon

We were wondering where you had got to!

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 03:18 PM

Does this mean you will definitely get some sleep tonight Aubergine? Hope the group goes ok.

Beckie, you could get some really weird ornaments or something for your patch of grass!

I have far too much choice of programmes to watch on catch up. The book I'm reading just now is The Stolen Ones by Richard Montanari. Nearly finished it. I end up coming online and then wasting so much time because I can't be bothered deciding what else to do!

Eska 25-04-2018 03:19 PM

I definitely did need the sleep! I feel better for it.

We don't have grass that needs cutting. The hedge could probably use a trim, though.

Aubergine, I hope church goes well :)

Lindsay, what do you think you might read/watch?

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 03:21 PM

What does the rest of your day look like Eska?

Your question to me has been answered above! :)

Think I will log off and do some reading. If someone replies to this before I have logged off and I feel the need to reply then you are in trouble!

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 03:22 PM

Weird ornaments is a good idea!!

Glad you feel better for the sleep eska!

Enjoy your reading lindsay!

Eska 25-04-2018 03:24 PM

The rest of my day is really quiet, thankfully! I'm really in need of a day doing nothing.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 03:32 PM

That's good
Nothing days are needed sometimes!

Eska 25-04-2018 04:01 PM

Absolutely. It's the first time I've had two days off together in nearly a month! They've mostly been sorted shifts, but still.

How are you? Which Harry Potter are you watching?

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 04:04 PM

Definitely a good time to enjoy doing nothing!

Im not too bad
I'm watching the first one
Looking forward to dinner time
I am making fajitas!

not_so_insig 25-04-2018 04:16 PM

Sounds good Beckie. I am having the rest of my cowboy beans with crispy tortillas.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 04:26 PM

Sounds nice dawn!

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 05:32 PM

Dinner discussion!!!

I had a baked potato and beans and cheese quite early on because I was hungry.

At first I wrote I had a barked potato, I'm glad I had a baked potato in reality.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 05:54 PM

Beans and cheese is the best baked potato topping!!
Baked definitely better than barked :p

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 07:26 PM

One of the support workers on the informal crisis team can't stand beans on baked potatoes because she said the sauce is too runny. She has prawns with baked potatoes, don't think that sounds very nice.

What's everyone getting up to?

nonperson 25-04-2018 07:28 PM

I like tuna mayo with cheese on my baked potatoes. Really want that now but I have no tuna...

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 07:29 PM

I have some tuna. *sends*

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 07:32 PM

I like prawn sandwiches but I don't think I'd like it on a potato.
I've had garlic mushrooms and feta cheese on a baked potato and that was nice!

Tuna mayo is nice in general!
I find tuna quite expensive though.

A bird has literally just slammed itself into my living room window XD
Its flown away so its ok!!

nonperson 25-04-2018 07:36 PM

Thanks Lindsay! I'm not sure my potatoes are edible any more though... *save the tuna for later* =)

Beckie, has it left that funny bird shaped imprint on the glass? I hate it when birds do that... I get loads of them at work and usually have to dispose of them. It's so sad. =(

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 07:41 PM

Aww poor bird. A massive bird flew into my car windscreen when I was driving one time but I was going slow and it was going slow. It gave me a huge fright and I kept jumping every time the windscreen wipers moved. It left a smudge.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 07:41 PM

It's left a bit of a mark but not really noticeable!
Aww that's sad. Poor birdies.
At least this one seemed to be ok!

That would freak me out Lindsay!

nonperson 25-04-2018 07:45 PM

A few birds have hit my car... Weirdly I always duck, like they're going to hit me.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 07:48 PM

Guess it's just instinct!

Once when we were on the motorway, a bird flew directly into the back wheel of the car and all the feathers were spurting out.

I slowed down because a bird was in front of me and my driving instructor said I should just keep going but I was scared of hitting it!

one_step_closer 25-04-2018 07:52 PM

Birds usually look like they're going to just stay in the middle of the road but then move at the last minute!

I saw a partial bird on the front of a high speed train that had arrived in the station once. Not nice.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 07:59 PM

Pheasants are especially bad!

Ew! That doesn't sound pleasant!

nonperson 25-04-2018 08:26 PM

My daily (10 minute) commute always involves dodging pheasants.

I have one that comes in my garden though with his Mrs and they eat the scraps from my bird feeder. I'm becoming more fond of them despite their stupidly.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 08:35 PM

Used to get loads of them where my family used to live (very rural and lots of land)
There was even a black one!
The colours on the males are quite pretty though

nonperson 25-04-2018 08:40 PM

They are actually very gorgeous birds, just a shame they're so stupid. I call him Mr Pheasant and his Mrs is Lady P. =)

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 08:44 PM

When I used to ride out on my horse, she didn't mind pheasants, even when they jumped out at her. Pigeons were another story! She hated pigeons!

Haha! Cute names
We called ours Henry because he was the only male with several 'wives'

nonperson 25-04-2018 08:55 PM

Oh I wish I'd thought of calling mine Henry! He does have a harem with him sometimes.

Cacoethes 25-04-2018 08:59 PM

Those cheeky male pheasants!

not_so_insig 26-04-2018 09:39 AM

Cacoethes 26-04-2018 11:51 AM

Hey guys

Serendipity. 26-04-2018 12:00 PM

Hey Beckie, how are you today?

Cacoethes 26-04-2018 12:19 PM

Im ok thanks.
Just finished mowing the lawn so I'm glad that's over!

How are you?

Serendipity. 26-04-2018 12:25 PM

I hate mowing lawns, it makes me sad :P Got any more fun plans for the rest of the day?

I'm anxious about going into work. Trying to motivate myself to get ready!

Cacoethes 26-04-2018 12:31 PM

I hate it too!
I have to go to asda and crisis will be coming at some point.

Is there any specific thing you are anxious about or is it just work in general?
I hope it goes ok

Serendipity. 26-04-2018 12:36 PM

Sounds super fun :P I hope you get nice things in Asda!

Work is just terrible at the moment for various reasons and I think today may be particularly terrible!

Cacoethes 26-04-2018 12:37 PM

Yep, my life is so thrilling :p

Oh dear :/
Sending positive vibes and I really hope it's not terrible!!

Pomegranate 26-04-2018 01:04 PM

Fingers crossed it’s not too bad for you!

You’re being very productive Beckie!

Cacoethes 26-04-2018 01:33 PM

I am rather!
Unusual for me :p
