Cacoethes 12-03-2021 09:04 PM

Oh no! Will you be able to survive without it?!

nonperson 13-03-2021 07:56 AM

Not for long. =/

Morning everyone <3

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 10:09 AM

How are you?

nonperson 13-03-2021 10:10 AM

Tired and at work and scared of the wind. =(

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 10:25 AM

Oh no :(
When do you finish?

I'm not great

one_step_closer 13-03-2021 11:51 AM

Morning everyone.

I hope your days get better NP and Beckie.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 11:56 AM

Hey lindsay
How are you?

Thank you

nonperson 13-03-2021 12:29 PM

Sorry you're not great, Beckie. Anything I can help with?

I was home about 10:30. Need to go back later to check the damage...

Hey Lindsay, and thanks. Hope your day is ok as well.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 12:31 PM

Just random chatting helps. Thanks :)

I imagine the wind hasn't been kind to your workplace np

tamobhuuta 13-03-2021 12:57 PM

Hi everyone. I'm hoping to watch TV with L this afternoon. What are your plans?

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 12:58 PM

What are you going to watch?

I have my covid jab this afternoon

[Luna] 13-03-2021 01:08 PM

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 01:12 PM

How are you?

nonperson 13-03-2021 01:29 PM

Hi Luna and Tamo. =)

I can do random chatting, Beckie. =P

Hope the jab goes ok. Is it just at the doctors or have you got to go somewhere special?

No one called me back yesterday about my jab... hm.

And no, the wind has not been kind at all. We had a major glasshouse breakage on Thursday which I'm having to monitor closely and is why I'm working this weekend instead of the person who was rota'd on. And there's outside stuff that broke overnight that I need to fix tomorrow.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 01:31 PM

It's at a centre type place on the grounds of a school.
I used to go to zumba there

That's annoying!

Oh no! That's not good at all

nonperson 13-03-2021 01:38 PM

Ah, at least you know where it is and have been there before!

No, not good but it is what it is. *shrug!*

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 01:43 PM

Yep! But apparently there is a one way system so hopefully it's easy to navigate

When will it get fixed?
Hopefully this wind will die down soon
Its been awful

nonperson 13-03-2021 01:50 PM

I'd imagine there will be someone manning the door to help lost people. =)

Not sure when it'll be fixed. Some pretty heavy duty metalwork was bent so new bits need to be ordered and booked in for contractors to install it all.

I really hate the wind, it makes me really nervous/anxious. Maybe because things always break! My nice neighbour put my shed roof back on for me though. =)

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 01:57 PM

I hope so!

Ugh what a pain.

I hate the wind too. It occasionally catches my letterbox and makes me think there's someone hanging around the front door.
That was nice of them :)

nonperson 13-03-2021 02:24 PM

Ooh, that would freak me out too.

I have some funny vents in the kitchen and downstairs toilet that like to rattle and bang in the wind. Makes me jump.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 02:35 PM

I bet!

I have salt and vinegar rice cakes.
I think I've burned my tastebuds off

nonperson 13-03-2021 02:38 PM

Haha, it's a good sort of feeling though XD

I finished the pack I had! Need to buy more.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 02:42 PM

When are you going to do the dreaded food shop?

not_so_insig 13-03-2021 03:17 PM

I am slowly being driven mad by the wind. A 44 car tyre cover is loose outside my window and the wind keeps on catching it on the car and making an noise like a drill. Been doing it for 3 days now. Also I am having trouble watching TV through my dish.

nonperson 13-03-2021 03:27 PM

Can you stream tv instead, Dawn?

I was going to go shopping tonight after I go back to work, because I'll already be out so will be more likely to go... but it might clash with the zoom meet so I don't quite know what to do.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 03:32 PM

Oh no! What a dilemma.
And you obviously HAVE to come to the zoom meet

nonperson 13-03-2021 03:35 PM

Oh no, pressure!

It may end up that I sit in Sainsburys car park and do it there! And then it'll be quieter in the shop by the time the meet finishes...

And there will be an army of people to give me a virtual push to actually go in!

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 03:39 PM

Sounds like a plan!

nonperson 13-03-2021 03:42 PM

I dunno how zoom works on my phone though or how well it'll work with everyone - you might all be very tiiiiny.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 03:50 PM

I'm not sure either actually!
But yes we'll probably all be tiny!

nonperson 13-03-2021 03:58 PM

Hm. Argh, I dunno what to do... >.<

When's your jab?

Pi.R^2 13-03-2021 04:27 PM

Just to add some reassurance about the meet- if you can, I'd say give it a go and if it's too overwhelming or anyone (me) is too annoying you can just leave and no one will be judgey about that!

Hope to get to 'meet' you later!

*glides out of thread*

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 04:47 PM

It would be great to meet you np but I understand if it's too overwhelming

I'm back from my covid jab. All is well apart from getting caught in torrential hail on the way back

nonperson 13-03-2021 05:07 PM

Thanks Jenna! I will try. I may be in a carpark or at work!

Kinda feel like I have to turn up seeing as I wanted a weekend and the earlier time =/ and it was meant to be a weekend I wasn't working.

Glad it went ok, Beckie! Hopefully you have no side effects and minimal arm soreness.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 05:10 PM

I hope you can come!

I don't usually get side effects from things so I'll probably be fine

nonperson 13-03-2021 05:12 PM

Hope so. People seem to be getting all sorts of mixed reactions which I guess is a actually pretty normal for vaccinations, it's just that a lot more people are getting it and no one ever talks about the flu jab any more =P

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 05:19 PM

Flu jabs are so 2019

nonperson 13-03-2021 05:26 PM

What about the bird flu jab? Can't even remember what year that was. So 2005/2006/2007?!

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 05:31 PM

That was agggeess ago now! And swine flu! When was that?!

nonperson 13-03-2021 06:00 PM

Google says bird flu was 2005 and swine flu was 2009.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 06:04 PM

Wow! So long ago.

nonperson 13-03-2021 06:11 PM

I don't really remember swine flu, but I do remember bird flu. Or maybe I'm getting them muddled up. I remember having a vaccine for one of them.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 06:22 PM

I don't think I had a vaccine for either of them. Bird flu seemed to be a much bigger thing

[Luna] 13-03-2021 09:01 PM

Totally forgot I posted here earlier! Sorry!
It was lovely to see/meet some of you this evening :-)

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 09:06 PM

Was lovely to see you again Luna! Its been too long

[Luna] 13-03-2021 09:12 PM

It has!

How are you doing?

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 09:18 PM

Not great but the meet cheered me up a bit.
How are you?

[Luna] 13-03-2021 09:25 PM

I’m glad the meet helped, I wish you weren’t suffering so much though.

I’m fine, just tired. Woke up super early this morning so today has felt like a long one.

Cacoethes 13-03-2021 09:27 PM

Thanks. I'll be ok. Usually am

Is little one in bed now? Can you get an early night?

nonperson 13-03-2021 10:18 PM

Hi again Luna. =)

I have returned with cheese and chocolate and rice cakes, amongst other less exciting things.

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 01:59 AM.
