Cacoethes 11-06-2019 07:10 PM

Sorry to hear that Dawn

Glad the opticians were good katie

Stellata 11-06-2019 07:20 PM

Thanks Beckie.

nonperson 11-06-2019 07:22 PM

Is it an independent one or a chain? I still travel back home to where my parents live, about 1.5 hours away, to go the independent one in the town there because they're so good.

Stellata 11-06-2019 07:28 PM

It's a chain one, but very good.

nonperson 11-06-2019 07:29 PM

That's always a bonus if the chain one is good!

Cacoethes 11-06-2019 07:33 PM

I go to specsavers and find them very good

Stellata 11-06-2019 07:34 PM

Definitely. Mine's a Boots.

nonperson 11-06-2019 07:35 PM

The specsavers I went to were a bit rubbish. Especially with helping me pick out glasses... I had no idea what I was doing and felt really uncomfortable about it all but they were useless at helping!

I guess it just depends on the staff there.

Stellata 11-06-2019 07:39 PM

Sorry you felt so uncomfortable, np.

nonperson 11-06-2019 07:42 PM

Ach, that's normal. =P

Stellata 11-06-2019 07:51 PM

But still uncomfortable and not a nice feeling, I know.

nonperson 11-06-2019 08:07 PM

Yeah, I am glad yours went ok though. =)

Are you getting some new glasses?

Stellata 11-06-2019 08:14 PM

Thanks. :)

Yes, new reading ones, a bit stronger, and mild distance ones for when I need them, for the first time.

nonperson 11-06-2019 08:16 PM

I have mild distance ones for driving.

Do you do a lot of reading?

Stellata 11-06-2019 08:17 PM

Yes, I read for a couple of hours a day. It's also for computer work.

nonperson 11-06-2019 08:19 PM

I bet you'll notice the difference then when you get the new ones.

Stellata 11-06-2019 08:20 PM

I'm sure. I've had these for over 2 years now. And I've started to notice they're not so good as they were.

nonperson 11-06-2019 08:28 PM

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade then!

Stellata 11-06-2019 08:29 PM

tamobhuuta 11-06-2019 08:55 PM

I wear glasses, I get them from Specsavers and the staff are really good.

zombiehunter 11-06-2019 09:06 PM

I wear glasses too lets be friends :-p

Cacoethes 11-06-2019 09:09 PM

Yay glasses crew!

Nothing better than snuggling up in bed in this weather!

zombiehunter 11-06-2019 09:09 PM

its been nice and sunny up here coco

not_so_insig 11-06-2019 09:10 PM

Thanks everyone for their wishes.

not_so_insig 11-06-2019 09:14 PM

I wear glasses too so I can be part of the crew!

Stellata 11-06-2019 09:19 PM

Yay, so many of us!

Cacoethes 11-06-2019 09:22 PM

Thats odd zombie
I thought scotland was always freezing and wet!

Buttons. 12-06-2019 06:17 AM

People who wear glasses are awesome. Although I have been known to think I'm wearing them when I'm not and poke myself in the eye.

Morning all :) Got CPN today -_- and need to nip Asda then the manager for the support I have is coming round (in theory) to help me with some benefits related forms which are currently on the bookcase giving me a heart attack so doens't look like much fun today. Plus **** weather. *stops whinging* hope everyone else is good this morning :)

Stellata 12-06-2019 09:36 AM

I hope all that goes ok, Buttons.

I'm off to the library to get books for my Mum and I.

Buttons. 12-06-2019 10:31 AM

Thanks Katie.

That sounds good about the library Katie, are you reading anything good at the moment?

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 11:29 AM

Hello all. It's been a good post day. My parcel from Lorraine, a postcard from postcrossing and my free sample from Tesco all arrived this morning.

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 12:01 PM

Afternoon guys!

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 12:07 PM

How are you doing Beckie?

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 12:32 PM

Ok thanks

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 01:04 PM

Glad that you are ok Beckie.

nonperson 12-06-2019 01:11 PM

Oh why can't it be home time now... =(

Also I feel left out of the glasses club. I have some for long distance but hardly wear them.

one_step_closer 12-06-2019 01:59 PM

Hello everyone.

I hope your day is going ok Buttons.

Library trips are the best. :-)

I love getting good post, but I don't mind if I get none as long as I don't get scary post.

What are you getting up to Beckie?

When is home time NP? You can wear pretend glasses and we will pretend that we don't know that they're pretend. Pretend.

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 02:18 PM

I don't like post
It's usually not good post!

I've just been to asda
Now back watching American horror story

tamobhuuta 12-06-2019 04:05 PM

I love post. I had a letter from a nun who has been helping me explore my vocation.

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 04:10 PM

Thats nice tamo :)

tamobhuuta 12-06-2019 04:11 PM

I do my banking online so I don't get boring letters!

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 04:14 PM

I mainly get bills

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 04:15 PM

Most of my bills are via direct debit so at the most I get every 6 months letters through the post. I dont open letters from the bank because I dont want to know how poor I am. I am suspicious of letters in my full name.

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 04:20 PM

Im in debt with one company so I get lots of letters from them
And I hate getting letters from the letting agent because they are normally moaning about something
And letters from the DWP scare me

Being an adult is no fun

tamobhuuta 12-06-2019 04:30 PM

DWP letters make me nervous

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 04:43 PM

If my benefits stopped then I wouldn't be able to pay my rent let alone food and bills!
I get so nervous about it

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 04:57 PM

Omg Derek Acorah is coming to the theatre that's less than 10 minute walk from my flat.

Cacoethes 12-06-2019 05:18 PM

I don't know who that is

tamobhuuta 12-06-2019 05:18 PM

Me neither!

not_so_insig 12-06-2019 05:30 PM

He is a medium on the telly most notably on Most Haunted.
