What made you join RYL?

we are just looking to gather some information from RYL'ers about what made them join and so on.

This will be used by the CT as we move things forward

I joined because on of my now best friends gave me the adress on a green post it note xD which I keep very safe.
yeah, like the second time I'd ever met him he pasted me a post it note with this on so I thought, why not check it out?

Hmmmm. It's a mixture of the forums, community and support and advice.

i voted forums but it was also because of the comunity one because i like to feel i belong.

Mental Health Discussion, to be precise.

i chose "other" in the poll but i guess i should have said forums.

mostly i joined because it used to be a pro site & i was looking for tips.
then i just rolled with it as it progressed into recover.

I voted for support/advice. Well, that's the main reason why I joined. Plus the sense of community that I felt (and still feel) when I read the forums for the first time - people congratulating each other for victories, telling each other they are strong enough to get through everything, helping/supporting each other wherever they can - that's just totally great and it's what I'm lacking in real life.

Support and advice but not just to recieve but to give aswell and to me that fits in with the forum option aswell but I picked support.

I owe joining this site all to one person who mentioned it but didn't realise i was broken and might find a use in it.

It ws that person that made me join RYL without knowing it.

I guess I joined for support, or community, or because my friend who knew about my SH found this site and said I should join. I spent my time in chat and I didn't realise there were forums until about 2 months after I joined (I'm not stupid, just I didn't do much exploring and the link to the forums was kind of hard to see on V2.. kind of)

I joined because it was one of the few sites where the webmaster/admin was taking an active role.

If I found RYL now, I wouldn't join. It's gone so far downhill in the last 2 years that I can't even begin to point out things.

I never even looked at the forums till v3.

Also, because of the supporters. When I was in a bad way, they were absolutely AWESOME, and they still are (hugs the supporters)
