lungs locked lips locked 26-12-2008 03:25 AM

Yeuck.
I hate roast dinners.
Not just becuase I'm veggie...just because I once had a particulary terrible one and now they make me feel ill.

However, my mummy made me my own mash, sage and onion stuffing and butternut squash fried thing, twas nommy, best christmas dinner I've had in years.

Leo Pard 26-12-2008 03:30 AM

I went shopping with my dad to get the christmas meal once and asked him where the turkey's face was.
he had to explain at length (to a 5 year old) what happens to turkeys.
Everyone else in the que took theirs back and I haven't eaten turkey since..

Bitter_Angel 26-12-2008 03:30 AM

We had goose. Was lush. We will have goose again today. Ah, the perfect revenge. Geese are nasty birds.

turkey dinner was yummy :)

Dreaming. 26-12-2008 07:15 PM

I overcooked the Pigs in Blankets, and undercooked the chicken ... I didn't have to eat it, though, it was for the boyfriend! So that was okay.

And mine was alreet. Not as nice as home, but then perhaps it was because I actually had to do work for this one.

Popple 26-12-2008 09:37 PM

Haha Yesterday my uncle cooked and we had goose and turkey because he is rich bugger and it was amazing because he is fabulous cook.
Today we had a turkey and after hours of slaving away it was worth it and was really nice even if I did almost drop it!!

Leo Pard 27-12-2008 12:11 AM

We had cheese today :]
Well.. motzarella salad thing.

Bitter_Angel 27-12-2008 04:27 PM

*hides smirk behind hand*

Bitter_Angel 28-12-2008 02:17 PM

how does the english meat compare with what you are used to Erin?

Chaos 28-12-2008 03:42 PM

I cooked my first ever Christmas dinner (at the tender age of 23, in practice for when i can cook christmas dinner for my parents in our own house!) this year for me and my boyfriend. I was so pleased with it! It was delicious! And all from scratch.

Prawn cocktail starter, with homemade sauce.

Stuffed Turkey Crown
Roast potatoes
Honey roast parsnips
Carrots
Brussel sprouts in Garlic butter
Gravy
Cranberry Sauce
Bread Sauce

Chocolate Orange fudge cake for dessert.

Chaos 28-12-2008 06:19 PM

I boiled and bagged up my left over christmas fresh veg this morning. Its all in the freezer. All the left over turkeys gone now. At least i haven't wasted anything!

Leo Pard 28-12-2008 07:10 PM

Erin eats koalas and kangaroos. So I'm guessing very different as we eat cows and children.

PropheticStar 28-12-2008 07:12 PM

Koala's are just like small furry children... :D

Duffer44 28-12-2008 08:22 PM

Leo Pard 28-12-2008 08:29 PM

Nawh you want them raw.
Right from the pram.

Bitter_Angel 28-12-2008 09:54 PM

Leo Pard 29-12-2008 12:52 AM

Casper_Fading 29-12-2008 10:05 PM
