I'd forgotten about that too so thanks for reminding us! Because I'm stupid and can't get my head around it - does that mean 12am becomes 1am or 11pm?
|
i forgot about the clocks.
1am becomes midnight |
Ok thank you.
|
BRILLIANT!
|
I was confused with this last year cos I was up at the time that it changed and felt like I was re-living the hour and that felt wrong so I changed my watch and clocks back and forth, was on the phone at the same time and the other person just as genuinely confused.
Lol. |
WHy do they have to do this its so annoying lol I am going to awake stupid early now for weeks tut lol
|
Bahh hate it.
just means the evenings are even darker and more miserable. *grumbles* |
should be helpful in the morning ;)
|
haha i've been up when it's changed before aswell, it's so odd does feel very like time traveling (or what I imagine time traveling to be like)
Brighter mornings but darker nights, I dislike GMT. BST>GMT |
Thanks for the reminder. I could do with an extra hour of sleep.
As if I don't sleep enough already though! |

The clocks changed in the past to give the farmers light in morning
|
It's not JUST england, it's most of the world that goes back one hour ;)
Australia, New Zeland and maybe other places, go forward an hour to start their summer :P |
Woo, more sleep...
|
oo i totally forgot bout that.
tinkerbell is doin the talking clock from midnight too. |
I forgot bout this til I saw my friends facebook status telling me we had extra weekend, I like the dark nights when I'm at home but I don't like them when I have to walk home from my college placement at 6 o'clock and it's going to be really dark.

I just changed my phone clock so now it's only my watch and video player clock that I need to change but for a long time I was working with my watch an hour behind anyways then i went to france and it was 2hours behind, oh fun times.
And crumple you just reminded me of my mate who used to tell me off for being 'english' and so I started calling myself british then the other day (friday i think) I filled out an app and it said white english, white british lol I put british. |
a lady mt mum works with landed into work an hour early this morning cause she forgot to do this, awwww
|
i told my mum before i went to bed that the clocks were going back because she was meant to be picking up minnie at 11am, i then get a call from mum at 10am telling me she forgot the clocks went back and she thought it was 11am but it was 10am. what is wrong with her silly woman.
|
Oh that's why I don't feel so tired, the clocks went back and I got an extra hour in bed lol, hehe xx

this is a daft question... but is the United Kingdom a country?
|
It's made up of 3 and a half countries....

Own up everyone who got it wrong this morning! I'm proud to say I didn't, even though I'm seriously doubtful as to the value of it. Who are these bloody politicians and Whitehall mandarins who decide these things and impose them on us?
It is reputed to have started after an accident with schoolkids years ago in Stornoway in the Western Isles, which the Jeremy Vine show earlier this week claimed to have no foundation at all. We have a cottage in the Western Isles and through much of the winter there is 18 hours of darkness and only 6 hours of daylight; so, unless the kids have extraordinarily short school hours, they're going to either arrive or depart in darkness anyway. Who are these people, who get paid by us as taxpayers, who devise these obscure forms of nonsense which then impact on the 99% who don't live that far north anyway. Tony (who loves the Far North, but has yet to see the Northern Lights - I wonder just how many RYLers have?) |
I remembered!
But I'm p'd off as our kitchen lights have bust, my flatmates are away, I can't reach the light that's bust, and it'll be dark soon. *digs out candles* |
That's not good, have you got a chair or something you can stand on?
|
I do, but even so my arms aren't long enough.
