What game are you playing/have recently played?
Reviews and comments please.
No spoilers. Or hidden spoilers. |
Just finished Fallout 4.
Started Dishonored 1 Periodically flirt with Elder Scrolls Online |
I'm playing Fallout too at the moment, and Skyrim but I've already played that soooo much I decided to try out fallout. Currently liking it though I'm not so good at shooting yet!
|
Also Dishonored is a great game, I really enjoyed it.

I want to play Fallout 4 and Mass Effect - Andromeda but I haven't got the console. Lame.
Still need to play Zelda Ocarina of Time on my new 3DS XL. Must set up my 360 at uni and play skyrim again. Seeing people talk about it on FB makes me crave the adventure again. |
Dishonored is amazing. Dishonored 2 i really enjoyed tho not as much as the first but I seriously love that game.
I'm mostly playing a second play through of Deus ex mankind divided which again, really enjoyed but not as good as human revolution. Mostly the story and characters aren't as good and so many loose ends once you finish the game. Also playing bedlam which is a small fps that I only really got for the gamerscore but it's ok. Frustrating, but fun at times. |
I'm playing again plants vs zombies and plants vs zombies 2. I had it for the ds, but I'm now playing it on my phone. I have a Nintendo 3ds that I'll need to start playing again, because I have a Zelda game and Mariokart.

Ever try Borderlands? You might like that. Its a raucous shooter with a playful vibe and artful characters. The dialogue is funny. Settings are imaginative. The game is easy and moves nice. Borderlands 2 is a bit better than the first |
lol this is way late,
i have been playing dark souls, but my goodness what a journey, 128 hours, plus i found the bonus of dex, damn it i wish i had the cash for bloodborne, but to be objective any of the souls games i have played have been above amazing :) |
I was playing horizon zero dawn, but i completed that, so now I'm playing stardew valley and red dead redemption. I love red dead redemption but i can only play it on playstation now and my internet is being a **** recently, which sucks.
|
I'm really into nioh just now, it's like dark souls but with samurai and unlike dark souls, nioh doesn't have me wanting to put my telly through the window, not yet anyway.
|

I had recently completed Resident Evil 7 but I can't really recommend it, cheap and poor A.I coupled with the game asking you to make a choice that gets undone with zero explanation if you make the "wrong" choice.
Yakuza 0 is the game to be playing right now if you liked the Shenmue series on Dreamcast/Xbox. |
Been getting through Yooka-Laylie. Loved Banjo-Kazooie as a kid but it's just not the same. Also slowly making my way through the new Zelda, which is amazing.
|
Nothing new. GTA Online cos I can turn my head off when I play it and Deus Ex Mankind Divided which I'm on my third playthrough of and still finding new things and characters.
|
I'm playing Zelda Breath Of The Wild and Animal Crossing New Leaf :3
|
I want to play the new Zelda but I'm not buying a Switch until there is more than one game for it.
May buy a Wii U if I can get one at a good price though. |
I just finished the story mode on injustice gods among us on ps vita.
I got really into that game. When I've finished my exams I'm going to pick back up on Arkham asylum. |
I have played nearly all the Professor Layton games for the ds and completed nearly all.
|
Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2. Finished the whole game in a day it was pretty rubbish.
|
Playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands at the moment, it's OK but a Tom Clancy game it is not, it's best described as "Far Cry: babysit 3 braindead teammates edition".
I cannot understand how A.I continually gets left to the side when developing games, seems to go graphics>gimmicky multiplayer>sound>gameplay>"oh yeah, we need A.I" New Splinter Cell cannot come soon enough. |

I believe that's the console effect no? I've never played games on console but those seem to be the first platform games are built from and then you get the dreaded "ports" to PC. The thing currently popping my balloon is all the micro transactions where they want you to but all the little trifles meant to "enhance" your experience. That's my biggest complaint about ESO now |
Quote:
What they mainly focus on is making it look pretty so these dumbasses can watch a Michael Bay style trailer (made from high res cutscenes containing absolutely no actions that you can personally perform in game) and go "best game eva" without even seeing the in game action. Don't even get me started on microtransactions and other DLC they cut out of the games to sell you later. |
I'm playing Animal Crossing New Leaf. Been slayings it every day since it's launch in 2013!
But WOW don't get me started on dlc that they make you pay for after the game has come out. Nintendo have gotten SUPER greedy with that recently, it's awful. And now they're going to start charging you to be able to play online! It's terrible. I used to really love Nintendo but they're turning into one of those money grabbing companies :( |
Can fully recommend Prey.
If you ever played any of the System Shock games then this is a spiritual successor, Bioshock was a spiritual successor to the SS games as well but Prey even moreso. Games like this don't come around often. |
Quote:
I always meant to play System Shock. I've owned it for about 6 years. I see that have an enhanced version out now so I don't know which one to play first. Bioshock never did much for me. I really looked forward to Infinite and after a 3-4 hours hours just lost interest. I'm sure I'll like SS though |
Quote:
The SS games were amazing for their time, I don't know how well they hold up for someone that's never played them (they are quite old now) but if you have it, may as well try it and see. I'm very fond of these types of games which incorporate emergent gameplay like the old school Deus Ex and SS, also to a lesser extent Duke Nukem 3D (we don't mention Forever) |
Anyone excited for Prey to come out?
I can't wait! EDIT: oh it has I think. Anyone got it who can review? |
Quote:
What it does have though is a good story of a decent length (first playthrough took me 40 hours because of exploring and breaking into stuff) and great interactive gameplay, full of the emergent gameplay methods employed in early SS games and Deus Ex games. Would however wait for another patch or two, it's developed by Arkane so there are some bugs. Also, it's clear to see why Dishonored 2 was a let down, most of Arkane's resources were on Prey and it shows. |
I'm playing Persona 5
|
Bioshock infinite
|
Darksiders warmastered edition, and when I complete that I will get darksiders 2 deathinitive edition in time for darksiders 3.
also playing dirt rally and I'm still loving nioh |
Playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild recently. I played it ont he day it came out but its so far from the usual Zelda formula that it kinda put me off, but I'm getting in to it now. I love my horse :3
|
I am trying to save up to get the the new Zelda.. people are raving about it! Can't wait!
|
Fallout 4

Just bought 'Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice'
Sounds like a game up RYL's alley "Inspired by Norse mythology and Celtic culture, Hellblade follows Senua, a Pict warrior who must make her way to Helheim by defeating otherworldly entities and facing their challenges, in order to rescue the soul of her dead lover from the goddess Hela. In parallel, the game acts as a metaphor for the character's struggle with psychosis, as Senua, who suffers from the condition but believes it to be a curse, is haunted by an entity known as the "Darkness", voices in her head known as "Furies", and memories from her past. To properly represent psychosis, developers worked closely with neuroscientists, mental health specialists, and people suffering from the condition." |
Skyrim! Def recommend
|
I'm playing pokemon go mostly. I used to be a big gamer, but it started taking over.
