Artwork

I have fixed my picture now, but some of them are in the wrong order or perhaps not up at all - there are a few posts which I don't know what they originally showed. I just wanted to comment here, because some other users have made comments about connecting with certain drawings of mine, and I wanted to say that there is a possibility that any image prior to post number 208 no longer shows the image the comment originally referred to.

This is a series I made when I was feeling rather optimistic.

pixiedust_11 29-06-2011 08:56 AM

Wow, they're really good :)

Rynn 01-07-2011 05:49 PM

Thank you all so very much. It's wonderful to hear that you like these. I don't feel comfortable showing these sort of SI-related pieces to anyone in Real Life so it's nice to get feedback here. :) I have a question though:

I have a pencil drawing of an arm with scars. Is that against the rules? I know cuts are, but I wasn't sure about old injuries. Probably not okay, I guess. But I wanted to check. It's so nice to finally be able to show people this stuff.

I also have a sort of abstract-ish thing that is obviously representative of the idea of having a scarred arm, but it isn't realistic so…??

Any ways, thanks. Here's another one. I attempted watercolor. An Alice in Wonderland thing.
I do not like paints.

MeganAlmighty 01-07-2011 06:36 PM

^THAT is fantastic..I just love it.I'm not sure why but i realy realy like it.
You are very good :)
x

Rynn 04-07-2011 09:41 PM

Thanks Sticky Eyelashes, I'm glad you liked it. This one's about me and my mom shopping. She knows about my SI and yet she STILL wants me to get these too-revealing pieces of clothing!

These are really good

Spenceland 10-07-2011 02:54 AM

I love how surreal they are, very nice :) I love how the small version of Alice in the one painting contrasts so strongly with the bigger one.

~AngelofLove~ 10-07-2011 01:39 PM

I really like them! They are amazing!

Rynn 11-07-2011 05:03 AM

Thank y'all so much. It's real nice to hear that you guys like this stuff. :)

I still have some questions though:

I have a pencil drawing of an arm with scars [not cuts]. Is that against the rules?

I also have a sort of abstract-ish thing that is obviously representative of the idea of having a scarred arm, but it isn't realistic so…??

Thanks to anyone who can clear things up for me!!

lala... 11-07-2011 04:17 PM

You have amazing talent, please post more :D
And I'm sorry but I'm not sure about your questions, but I have seen some relatively triggering things on here as far as drawings go, I think as long as you label things correctly so people can view with discretion and caution then you should be okay.

Rynn 12-07-2011 08:51 PM

Thanks LaLa for the advice. I'll just put the pictures in one of those Hide-y Boxes when I post them. For now, here's one of me seeing my counselor and another sketch.

crazykat 14-07-2011 04:44 PM

and the 1st one in post 19 is amazing and i relate alot - i'm sure many of us do.

More please? x

emoskylady 19-07-2011 07:24 PM

These are all very good.
The Alice in Wonderland themed one is my favorite.
You are very talented =]

Rynn 21-07-2011 07:34 PM

Sticky Eyelashes - Thanks, it was really neat to hear that you could relate to that one. It's nice to hear that what I feel is something others have experienced too.

I'm still not certain on the rules, so I've hid the pictures. They are coloured pencil and not realistic, but WARNING they are meant to represent self-inflicted injuries. I drew this series a few days after a session when I couldn't get myself to stop thinking about what it had felt like. If this is inappropriate for RYL, I'll take them down asap but I'm thinking they should be alright because they aren't realistic.

The following content has been hidden - Reason : the images suggest cuts and blood

Rynn 27-07-2011 05:47 AM

The words are all quotes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

I had a hard time deciding which sketch of Alice to go with for my water colour project, and this was the one I didn't paint. But I couldn't leave it be. :)

nowhereman 27-07-2011 07:49 AM

Wow I'm in awe. I can't draw at all.

MeganAlmighty 27-07-2011 06:44 PM

I just absoloutely love your alice drawings.
You're 's/h' ones are pretty interesting too, i'm still trying to get my head around them :) It's good that your drawings make you think aswell as just look. You are a fab artist
x

pixiedust_11 27-07-2011 09:05 PM

Already said this once, but honestly these are all absolutely amazing. I love them! Please post them as they come, I'm inspired :) xx

Rynn 29-07-2011 06:19 PM

Thanks everyone! It's so nice to hear this feedback. :D

Sticky Eyelashes - It's cool to hear that my art makes you think. If it helps you see what's going on in the picture of the red arm, try to see the blue as two thighs in jeans kneeling. I admit my art is definitely made for an audience of me, so I'm not sure how much of it translates…

Recently my stuff has included me drawing blood - not horribly realistically, but I don't want to break any rules or trigger anyone, so I don't have anything brand new to post.

This is an older piece of mine. I put it in another post here because it's made of words and about my counselor calling to check up on me one night. The sentences are from some diary entries I made about the event. I'm not sure my handwriting is legible enough or my words are grouped in a way that makes sense to others though. I'll be interested to hear what y'all think.

[Luna] 29-07-2011 10:53 PM

These are really impressive, I love your style

pixiedust_11 29-07-2011 11:31 PM

These are magnificent! i am in awe!

Rynn 18-08-2011 08:25 AM

Thanks for all of you guy's encouragement! It's been a while since I updated because most all of my stuff for a while was inappropriate for RYL.

Carousel 18-08-2011 06:17 PM

Another great drawing, really full of emotion. Hope you're ok x

Silent.Tears 18-08-2011 09:47 PM

I absolutly adore your work. Its really very beautiful. I love how free and honest your pieces are.
I really hope you keep this up, and more importantly keep posting them for us to see!

Rynn 26-08-2011 01:49 AM

Self Portrait
(the arm is altered from how it was originally drawn so it'd be safe for RYL)

Charmed 26-08-2011 07:39 PM

Your work is amazing. I wish i could draw like you! I especially like the one made of words, that was fantastic and must of taken a lot of time and thought. The above image is very sad though, but shows a lot of emotion. They are all really good!!

Maz 27-08-2011 12:20 PM

Thanks. That's fine that you played with my drawing. I'm actually kinda flattered. I'm never sure when my feelings will translate or not. I'm glad you liked it so much. :]

Rynn 02-10-2011 08:42 PM

Reading books about SI or similar things can be help me by showing me I'm not alone and by giving me words for things I haven't been able to describe yet. It can also bring up just masses of emotions that I don't understand and that are upsetting. I drew this when I was feeling too much. The words are about books I've read on SI.

Rubik'sCube 03-10-2011 05:23 AM

I really love your work, the pictures speak to you, you translate what is difficult to say in words into your drawings really well

Acto808 03-10-2011 02:27 PM

These are real cool and very creative

Rynn 05-10-2011 04:57 AM
