I wondered that, too. It's slightly annoying.

I think this was set to kind of help against spam and auto post bots. (but i could just be making it up)

If you cant be creative with a title though you could always just put a . or a - there is no minnum character for it.

mmm but that seems rude especially if you dont know the person...
sometimes there just doesnt seem to be an appropriate title for what your saying, and it feels odd just putting hi or hello as the title
argh i cant explain it lol

Well this wasn't something I set up or chose, but I must say that blank titles in PM's to me are a real pain in the bum - as they give me no indication of what the PM is about.

You will notice that the Sent Items folder is not in fact a normal folder like the others. It stores what appears to be messages - but they are marked with the recipients name, not yours (the sender). This is different from them other tpe of folder Inbox/custom ones and in fact my email programs work in this way.

If the PM is a simple hello, then put the title as Hi. If the PM is about a post, subject it "Your Post". I can't think of any situation where it is even slightly hard to think up a subject, which at worst can just be one word.

I guess it is for the same reason titles are needed for threads. It would just make everything messy and unclear.

Do remember that if it did allow blank titles all it would do is write "No Subject" in the title... which in itself is a title even more unclear than Hi, or even a dot! You might as well just write No Subject on such messages!

Either way I cannot change it, so we will have to live with it! Sorry!
