You spend ages cooking a really nice meal, settle down to eat it and before you've had any, you knock the entire contents onto your lap.

:(

ROB!!!

In this kinda situation you need a really close female friend to come and eat it all off your lap! *nods*

I hate it when stuff like that happens. I hope you managed to salvage most of it.

My advice: call for a take-a-way, order enough for 12 people and gorge till you can no longer fit through the door without the assistance of the local fire brigade and a rather large block of lard!

Heh, when i do something like that i is normally on the floor; as in, the only bit of dirt on the whole house :|

In such situations my dog then enjoys it >.<

I hope you're having something nice to make up for it (:

That's what I ended up doing. The trouble was it was still really hot and was burning my thighs. I think lesson learned and I will use the table in future rather than half perching it on my desk.

Anyway. I'm off to bake an almond and chocolate chip cake and hopefully some brownies as well. Cake makes everything better.

The cakes turned out remarkebly well, actually. At least the brownies did and the almond and chocolate chip cake looks pretty good.

I'm in the process of cooking up tonight's culinary treat and I have learned from last night not to balance it on the edge of my desk when I eat it.

Misunderstood.

Good Luck with round two :-)

In all seriousness I would so pissed off / upset if I spent a long time on a meal then dropped it on my lap. I know that's so yesterday but it shouldn't be made light of. Heh.
