oh GOD does it hurt, cos now i dont think think twice about uing that arm :o(. I thought it hurt yesteday ??~~ yea rite. sle[t for almost 16 hours yesterday. Cant wait to see tonite as they gave me extra sleepers "that are very strong " for a wek....Im already on TWO strong ones.
I gpt to see the xray and the plate is NOTHING like i thought it would be...i expected a rectangular shape of metal..nope..more like kidney shped with all these thick 'tentacles' off it.....EEWWWWW! it looks gros.
washing my hair was an experience, i could be 'snap,'crackle' AND 'pop' all by myself lol.
BUt holy does it hurt now!!! *cries*
You dont thnk twice anymore, just reach...
they also gave me MORE pain kilers for a week...thats THREE now O.o!! me think is a bit much!! PLUS my reg meds, PLUS all my vitamins!!! i dont even want to count them!
But he said it is heling wel so he is pleased.
me too....i had this horril nightmare a few nights runnng that cos i umped the ike i damaged it and they had to re-break it *shudders*...cut it off instad..PLS!

im glad you finally got your sling off but i understand how it is so natural to want to use that arm.
hopefully with even more pain and sleep meds you will get more relief.

sucks to hurt! But you know what is good... this time you didn't do it on PURPOSE! So you can hurt and complain and not feel guilty! If it was me i'd be complaining and whining and bitching as much as I possibly could! Take advantage :D

*cuddles* at least these new meds aren't forever! You'll be okay :) It will lessen, just seems like the worst thing ever now but it will get better! And it's healing well, huzza!

Good to know that you are healing well!

Yeah, having the limb unprotected feels weird for a bit. When I got the cast off my broken ankle I used crutches for a few more days and waited until the second day to take my first shower in five weeks and made sure that my husband was home and knew I was taking a shower so if he heard some odd noise he would come look.

I understand. Been there, done that. The souveneir(sp) is not fun but you so won't want to hear that.

Aaw I bet thats horribl mate, have you tried having a bath? Sometimes that will make you feel less tense, relax the muscles in your arm. Hope it feels better soon! xx
