hey Jess darling!
you ARE doing an amazing thing here and when it is all over, just think how relieved and proud of yourself and how much better you will feel!
any surgery is quite a bit scary, but this will be awesome for you and it's a huge step forward
and, for at least a week or two after it will give you definite spoiling rights and everybody should fawn over you and bring you treats for your troubles!
i'm sorry to hear you're sick
i just got over this wicked nasty cold myself
i take echinacea and i like to think that it actually does boost my immune system and make me better quicker but who knows, it's probably just the placebo effect
take care of yourself! good luck!!

Thanks guys :) *hugs both of you* Coughing up interesting fluro green stuff from my lungs which is earning me strange looks from my cat lol (making a lot of noise I am...) so i'm getting my second script of antibiotics and taking them still!
Feeling better bout the surgery to know that people are actually proud of me... i've had more than a few comments from people saying that if i'm getting surgery obviously i'm ashamed of my scars and not really over self-harm. HA! I'm not over self-harm. I never will be. I will always be a self harmer... same as a reformed alocholic is always going to be an alcoholic even if they don't drink. So yeah... Thanks again guys :)

oh that is crap!!! not over SI because you are "ashamed of your scars?"
first of all, that is a personal decision
second of all, if you weren't getting over SI i don't think you would even be able to fathom not having scars!!! if that makes sense?
anyway that's crap
get better soon! ahh cold and flu season, gotta love it

I'm not ashamed of my scars. They're part of my past. A part i'm not hugely proud of as I hurt more people than just myself but i'm not ashamed because if I hadn't done what i've done I never would have got to where I am today. And I never would have met my darling fiance! I just don't want them clouding the judgement of employers (working with youth who are high risk...) and I don't want them to be the first thing people see.... So i'm happy i'm having the surgery!!!!
Thanks again everyone!!!
