I have a 'friend' who is really annoying me at the moment, well for a while now.

She is such a control freak, and likes to try and control me too. And I don't like it. I don't know how many times I've told her that she's not my mother so she can't tell me what to do, but she keeps trying.

I have told her recently that her turning up for dinner on every other Wednesday is annoying, so she turned up tonight but brought her own soup! We then went shopping, (on a wednesday because that was what she wanted to do when she moved out of her mums house about 4 years ago) and she give me such a bitchy sneer at one point. I told her that she would have to practice her nasty looks because they weren't working any more and that sneer she had just give me was wimpy. So she then shed a couple of tears .... she's 31!!!

And there's so many other things that piss me off about her ...... She came up with this stupid little noise she makes when she wanted my attention if we were out. I've told her I don't like it, so she got upset. So I then told her that I don't like being at her beck and call, and she denied that she ever did that.

And all the others that are so petty.

It's gotten to a point where I don't want anything more to do with her. At all.

Problem is my Mum and Dad have booked a holiday for the pair of us with them in a resort they part own, and I really want to go. It's in a few weeks time and the place is lovely.
Last time we went on this time of holiday she had a go at me because I slept in for a couple of hours on 2 or 3 days, leaving her alone!!!! Poor thing, I feel so sorry for her. She couldn't cope on her own for a couple of hours with people she's known for years!!!!!!!!!!

And she wonders why I don't want anything more to do with her. She is soooooo childish, pathetic, and ridiculous. And I hate it. But I really want to go on holiday! If she starts on me again there I will say the same thing to her - grow up and leave me alone. But will that work? It didn't last time!

Bloody annoying cow!

And also - she demands me to stop self harming for her (!!!!) every so often and then gets annoyed when I tell her no way in hell! One thing that made me laugh - I had a few fresh scars one time and she gave me some make up to put on them because she didn't like the look of them!! I told her to **** off and threw it back at her!

good lord!!!!

that would drive me crazy!!!!

seems to me she may be somewhat obsessed with you.
and i found the part about the "strange noise she makes" when she wants your attention to be very strange.
im sorry she's causing you this stress.
sounds like she may be quite ill herself?
maybe she needs some help.
i hope your holiday is as lovely as it can be.
much love.

friendships are supposed to be mutually benificial and from what you say here i can't see that you are getting anything positive out of this relationship.

if you think this is worth salvaging, i would advise you to sit this girl down and talk to her about some changes that she needs to make in the way that she treats you and acts to you. it sounds like she has a serious lack of respect for your privacy - that is what i find to be the most concerning, that she has like no boundaries when it comes to you and that is not okay! i wonder what her motives are, if this is her caring about you and it just comes out in a weird way or if it's some control thing that makes her feel better about herself. you don't owe her anybody though, even if you have known her for years, so if you feel nothing for her and if this causes you more pain than pleasure, maybe you should think about ending the "friendship" that might not even be a friendship after all.

i hope that you find a way to resolve this, beacuse friendships aren't supposed to be stressful like this! good luck hun

Thanks for the advice.

We didn't speak on Thursday, which was a relief. She left me alone for a day - which is very unusual.

She emailed me today though, at work, and apologized, which is also very unusual.

I will speak to her and let you know!

Take care

an apology is a good sign..... maybe she is a bit socially clueless and doesnt realise how she makes you feel when she acts like that?

good luck Lozza i hope you can resolve things
