I think the best thing to do would be to open up windows media player/iTunes/other because I know some people (me for example) get annoyed by music on websites no matter what it is.
And sometimes people on here want to be discrete about using RYL, which is kinda hard when there's music

In practise I do not feel that it would work, for the following reasons:
*The ones mentioned above by KatieFrank (http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum/member.php?u=283)
*"Soothing" [mainly classical, but not always] music could remind many members of unpleasant situations, such as being in the doctor's waiting room, or being in a lift [not pleasant for people with claustrophobia!] or being put on hold.
As such, I think that the benefits to something such as this would vastly be outweighed by the disadvantages, and that Media Player/iTunes is probably your best bet.

Well, a little while ago when I was planning how RYL v3 would be, one of the many, many features considered was a built in commuity internet radio / music system. Basically built into the forum you would have little controls to listen to a bank of music stored on RYL, or a huge variety of internet radio stations.
I decided against it because I felt people could just have itunes or an internet radio on if they needed it, and that there was no reason to add features that most people already had already.
So I don't think it's a bad idea at all - but I don't think we need it enough to justify it.
I do love members throwing new ideas into the discussion melting pot though - so if you have any more ideas do post them :)
