Inconsistency in thread & post numbers.

Hey,
I'm not really sure how I plan on explaining this, but hopefully I will get there with some success.

I was looking in General a minute or so ago, and saw how many threads & posts it says are in the News and Debate board. I was astonished as to how high the numbers were, especially as that sub-board-thing only has two pages worth of threads.

I then looked back on the main site and found that, from what it says about GC on the main forum page, there are apparently no where near that number in the whole of GC, let alone the News and Debate board.

Any ideas as to why this is like it is? Any way it can be changed?

I know I am being unnecessarily pedantic, but I thought I would point it out just in case, and see what's going onnn.

Mmm, I think we had a thread on this ages ago, and the News & Debate forum post numbers represent the whole of the board's post numbers, plus the number of posts in News and Debate. Or something like that.
