RYL server scheduled maintenance - [ 13.11.07, 05:30-05:45hrs (GMT) ] *COMPLETED*

Dear RYL Members,

I will be performing some essential server security and system updates in the early hours of tomorrow morning between 05:30 – 05:45. During this time, the RYL website and related systems will be unavailable. Since the work also requires one or more server reboots, you will not receive any maintenance/availability message in your web browser and all RYL pages will fail to load at this time. I estimate the work will likely take no more than 15 minutes to complete so you won’t have to wait long for RYL to come back online.

Thanks everyone for your patience - this sort of work is essential in ensuring that the systems which support RYL remain secure and available long-term.

Please keep this thread bumped until the maintenance is marked as completed.

Nothing exciting I'm afraid. It's mainly security patches and also RYL database table index sorting and optimisation (to keep RYL lovely and speedy for everyone!)

There are some other techy things going on too, but I'm not gonna bore everyone with that lot! :p

Damn, I was typing up a long post in Vets Support and then it wouldn't post, and I realized that the maintenance work had started. So I lost the post and had to type it up all over again. Fun fun fun. But I should have noticed what time it was before I started typing my response I guess.
