Clonazipam

I'm not entirely sure I've spelt it right, but I've been given this as a muscle relaxant.
I know people here take it for their MH, I'm just looking for experiences really!
Could anyone tell me how they found it, side effects to watch it for and how it differs from other benzos?
I'm starting on 0.5mg at night and increasing to 1.5mg gradually.

Personally, I've found the effects very similar to diazepam. Also had no negative side effects.

Yes clonazepam.

I take it prn for anxiety and meltdowns. I find it calms me down but I get a bit sleepy and it makes my ataxia a bit worse.

Muscle relaxant - I get a bit of that when I take it. Although that's not why I take it.

Thanks all for the replies. I looked on the box and I did spell it wrong, sorry!
It's very reassuring to hear that you all didn't have any negative effects from it. I'm giving it a go as I'm it hard to use my hands at the moment and my MS doctor said it'll help.
What dose do people use? Is mine average?

Doses will vary according to the reason it was prescribed, so what's usual for anxiety might be different for MS and so on. Best person to ask will be a pharmacist or your doctor.

I was given this medication as a muscle relaxant for my physical illnesses, as well. It's been a long while, so I don't remember the dose I was on, but I know my dose for anxiety was higher than my dose for the relaxant effect (I wasn't on them at the same time, they were years a part). I hope it works for you. I found it really helped in giving my hands/wrists/arms more mobility
