At the start of March I started going off my medication. I was on 150mg of Luvox, 1mg of clonazepam, and taking 100mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride. It took a couple months to get to a point where I felt roughly the same everyday in terms of mood and side effects. I went off the medication very slowly. I haven't been in withdrawal for at least a month. I did it all under the advice of a trusted psychiatrist.

I am now taking 25mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride and 800mg of Valerian root mainly to help me sleep. I take 1/4 to 1/2 of a 0.5 pill of clonazepam for anxiety attacks if they are severe. For now I'm okay with being on a little bit of clonazepam. I no longer feel addicted which was the main reason for going off of it. I would really like not to take anything to help me sleep.

I spent 6 years and tried at least 10 different medications. It takes months to adjust to each medication. I decided instead of trying yet another medication I would spend the time trying to adjust to how I am without medication. I have generalized anxiety disorder and Borderline personality disorder. Being calm when I don't have distractions is hard. Getting to sleep is what I struggle with most.

Any advice is welcome.

I am still on meds but I did take myself off 4mg of clonazapam a day a few months ago. I struggled with sleep at first but now I feel so much better and have more energy.
I did it by reducing slowly. Clonazapam is very addictive and can cause withdrawl symptoms.
My best advice would be to do it under medical advice.

I agree with Kate, I wouldn't advise changing your medications unless under supervision from a doctor.

That's all we can say really as otherwise it's dangerous to adjust your dose by yourself.
