Does hearing voices mean im still psychotic?

I've been hearing a voice. I'm trying to ignore it even though it's saying bad things about my meds.
A part from the voice my mental health is very stable.
But does hearing this voice mean im psychotic/hallucinating?

Well, the voice is a hallucination if nobody else can hear it. But that doesn't mean you've necessarily got full blown psychosis. If you're otherwise stable and you don't have any unusual beliefs or paranoid thoughts, I don't see why hearing voices has to be pathological.

Thanks. It just got me a bit worried because I've been so well and symptom free for a while. I got a bit of a shock.

Try not to worry about it too much as that will probably just make it worse. If its any reassurance, I hear voices mainly when I'm stressed or tired but it doesn't always mean something sinister is going on. Just try and keep track of it incase it does get worse for you.

Hearing voices doesn't make you psychotic.

If the voice is disturbing you, talk to your mental health team.
But don't worry. Hearing voices doesn't mean you'r psychotic. That's a whole different criteria.

Hearing voices can mean different things. As above, they aren't necessarily psychotic.

I'm bumping this thread so I don't have to start a new one.

Last night I had some visual hallucinations. I was all alone and it scared me. Spiders all over the floor creeping about.
How do you deal with hallucinations when you're alone and there is no one around to help?
I live a lone so spend a lot of time alone.

Could you phone your mental health teams out of hours number? Xx
