I have a new Psych Dr , She is younger than me , I had to find out 3rd hand my usual doc retired , I am **** scared she will alter my meds also terrified I'll get to trust her and she shall be replaced (She's a locum) , I have lost 4 mh workers in three years due to them leaving , is it so bad to talk to someone you KNOW will be there in a few years or am I fooling myself?

Sorry to hear you've had a few professionals in and out of your life recently. I know how frustrating it is when that happens.

Is there not a permanent psychiatrist at your CMHT? If so, can you request to see them so that you can build a relationship safe in the knowledge they wont be going anywhere?

Otherwise maybe you can see the locum psych knowing that she is temporary so that it's easier when she does move on?
