Medication induced diabetes

So I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself as I've been recently diagnosed with medication-induced diabetes. I am on two antipsychotics and always knew it was a risk, but didn't anticipate it happening so quick. Has anyone else experienced this? I am struggling to accept it and find myself getting angry that I need to be on medication at all.

I don't have this but I do have problems with my blood sugar due to anti psychotics and worry it will turn into diabetes.
It's horrid that we have to take these meds but diabetes can be well managed if you listen to Dr's advice.
I understand this must be really hard

Thank you both so much, and for the hugs, I appreciate it. Trying to just give myself time to get used to the diagnosis at the moment, as I'm still finding it difficult to accept. But I can see the benefits of the psych meds so that's something.
