Hey,
I've been on Fluoxetine (Prozac) since mid october, and wake up early morning dripping in sweat, it's awful and horrible and I don't like it!
Could the two be connected? It's not something I remember happening before I was on these meds.
I've tried 3 different sets of pyjamas, 2 different sets of bedding and 2 different duvets and sheets.

This isn't something I ever noticed when I was on it. Is it listed in the side effects on the leaflet? It's worth mentioning to your GP :)

Hiya, I had this problem with fluoxetine - absolutely drenched in the night. I was on 40mg daily at the time. Weirdly as well it seemed to give me a really red nose at times that felt like all the blood vessels had been opened up.
I mentioned it to my pdoc and said he had never heard of it with fluoxetine - very helpful guy. Did Google it and found others had the same problem too.

Yes I get this on prozac. I have to jump straight in the shower in the morning.
My mum is on it too and she gets night sweats too. I just though it was normal x

I get hyperhirridosis on fluoxetine and have done for years. Excess sweating is a possible side effect of fluoxetine. I don't get it to the extent you do all over, I tend to just get it under my armpits, and on my hands and feet. But it is way above normal quantities of sweat and I have to use stupid amounts of strong anti-perspirant that are supposed to be used only 2-3 times a week once you are at maintainance level.
Bring it up with your prescriber, they might be able to lower the dose, or it could be something you have to weigh up in the long term as part of the cost vs benefits of the treatment.

Yes this is a possible side-effect for most SSRI's. Definitely discuss this with your GP.
