What do you think would qualify us to be able to say whether you are cured or not? Just curious.
I am glad you had a month of feeling well. Maybe make a list of things that helped you be well and stay well so you can help yourself to stay that way.
Depending on your illness it *is* possible for it to go away without any treatment.

Banríon (http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum/member.php?u=5305) has very good advice, I can't add more to that other than keep up the good work and I hope you can note the things that help you so you can continue to feel well.

A month is too little time to say really. But i'm glad you've been coping, and Banrions idea is good!

I'm glad you have done so well for a month.
Mental health symptoms can go in to remission but they are rarely "cured".
mh is usually considered in remission after a year or 2 of no symptoms
Hopefully you can look at what's has helped you stay well and keep practicing those things to continue staying well.

Thanks guys! Guess I am feeling hopeful that things will just all disappear and I'll be ok. I've enjoyed being able to cope with life without panic and self harm. It's been good
I will list everything down and see if it can help
Cheers

I think a month is a little premature to say you are cured but that doesn't mean to say if this good run continues that in 6, 12 or 24 months you could class yourself as in remission/cured/recovered however you want to class it.
It is great that you have been able to cope with life better, hopefully listing things downs will help you. One of the things I have found that helps my mental health is consider why things are going well and what is helping that as much as thinking why things are more difficult and what is contributing to that.
I hope this good run continues and if not that it gives you hope on dark days that things can be good again.
Good to know that u seem to be doing alot better for urself. Sounds like to me u have come à long way and that u have nearly recovered. I would just be aware of ur mood though. I was feeling much better at one point and a month or two down thé line i was Depressed again.
Just be aware of ur mood but if things are still going well then i wouldnt have nothing to worry about. You know u can always go back to the doctor if anything does change. Bare that in mind.
