Hi,
I've been having twice weekly psychodynamic therapy for the past year. Over the last 10 years, I've had SSCM (specialist supportive clinical management) CBT, EMDR and CAT. My current therapist (a counselling psychologist) is soon to be going on maternity leave and although she has recommended me another psychodynamic therapists to see me while she's on leave, I've done my own research as well. I have a strong therauptic relationship with my therapist and she's been extremely helpful. I find the therapy really difficult but at times, I do feel a slight relief but I know there's so much work to be done.
I've read a lot of psychotherapists using the humanistic/intergrative/mindfulness as their chosen approach and I was wondering whether people have had experience of this type of therapy and whether it's been helpful?
I suffer with an eating disorder, PTSD, depression, chronic pain and opiate addiction.
