Paranoid PD and SZA

Was wondering what the diffence is between Paranoid PD and Schizoaffective disorder, In Ward round yesterday I noticed the doctor had written Paranoid PD on a piece of paper and whe I questioned her about it she said they thought about that diagnois last week before I thought I was An alien, now its schizoaffective disorder becuase I'm an alien and people are thinking I'm an alien and its making me think I'm an alien even more. Whats the diffence. Thnak you

People with paranoid pd tend to have beliefs where they are suspicious of others and their intentions.

Schizo affective paranoia can include other types of delusions like think you are someone your not, believing in government conspiracy, mind control ect.

By the sounds of it (correct me if I'm wrong) you had paranoia revolving around people's intentions but now you believe your an alien so you now have beliefs that could fit with the psychotic symptoms associated with schizo affective.

This with schizo affective also have an element of a mood disorder .
