Can't log in to chat?

I can't log in to chat, it says authentication failed, each time I try logging in :(

Authentication failed can mean you're clicking on an old URL - the one generated when you click on "enter chat" only works until midnight and if you refresh the page after that it will come up "authentication failed".

I think I spoke with your friend. I will be the *s in your name. If you request a usename change and remove those it should work fine :)

When I click on chat, it says in bold blue ENTER CHAT and when I click on it, I'm redirected to blue page and then it says Authentication Failed.

same thing happened to me yesterday, i dunno what it is:( some people can get in, others can't, mine took 2 hours before letting me in :(

I have just logged in less than half an hour ago, and it was fine.

How long does it take to get the username changed? I've requested for it yesterday. It hasn't changed, yet and I still can't log in to chat. :(

They only happen on Friday night's but the person who does them is away for a little while.

Hi there. The chat moderators do keep an eye on these threads and do try to help when people can't log in. 99% of the time it's simple things like username problems or chat being offline temporarily.

Well, thats unfair....it isn't anything to do with a 'clique', many people both regular and non regular chatters are having issues entering chat.

The chat mods actually don't have any control over the logistics of chat or why it isn't working for some people. However there are many threads where members have been given sound advice about possible ways to fix chat. It's pretty unfair to imply that people don't care.

yikes. Where did that come from? Talaiporia legit just talked a member through the procedure to get into chat! At no point did anyone attempt to ignore the problem.

If you've tried everything that's been previously suggested, why not explain the problem you're having and I have no doubt that talaiporia or griddlebone will troubleshoot for you (even after you've just flamed them!).

As I suggested to the other member, I advise switching browser and seeing if that helps. Often problems exist with specific browsers.

Awkwardly, now I can't enter chat because it's between midnight and 1am and chat can't handle BST/GMT.
