do horror films affect you?

like it triggers you and such. i want to see scary movies but they're like paranormal stuff and with my disorder(schizoaffective) some symptoms bring up real fear. most horror movies don't scare me anymore because of my hallucinations and delusions i can get.
i would be more afraid of it making me cause a scene in the theater. or is i watch it at home maybe with someone. some movies i can watch fine but new ones make me nervous. i just saw a commercial for a scary movie and i really want to see it xD

Personally it doesn't affect me but I am sure their are others that it affects. Perhaps if it is something you want to do you could plan ahead so you put some coping strategies in place in case it does trigger you.

I don't watch scarey films really, but I find sci-fi can trigger odd thoughts about powers and so on. which is a real shame because I love sci-fi.
