For those who are or have been in DBT, how important is it to have rapport with your individual therapist?
Your thoughts and experiences would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

I think it's important because it's such an intense period of time n u have to be honest with them but it will come with time

It's good to have a positive relationship with your therapist as you'll be able to trust and tell them more. If you don't like them then you might not be able to interact with them as well as someone who you liked.

I hope that helps :)

It's quite important because you need to be able to have trust and for you to confuse in them and discuss in detail what sort of skills you can use in situations you may find your self in.

DBT is quite an intensive therapy i found that i had to have a good relationship with my therapist until it worked. Its hard work but the outcome is amazing! Good luck!
