Okay... i'm trying to figure out a way to ask with out not giving too much detail, but it's seeming pretty impossible.. I hope this makes sense.
But let's say a person, let's called them A, went through something traumatic, because of person B.
Person A, then thinks that there are two of person B. They think that there is person B.1 who is the person they know, and they like, and person B.2, who has done the bad things... Is there are specific term for this? or would it just be a form of dissociation?

So person B has done something that caused trauma to person A, and person A is kind of thinking that it wasn't really person B but a 'bad' version of person B?
I don't really know if there's a specific name for this. It could fall under a delusion.

Kinda. I was laying in bed and I read your reply, and it got me thinking, I went to reply on my phone, but it wouldn't let me log in, so it gave me even more time to think. I posted this in case there was a name for this specific thing so I could research it (i know that there is a name for something like this, but replace people with places, which makes me feel like there might be a name? but anyway) but as I was thinking I think I figured out a good way to explain it to my therapist, which is good, because I was scared of explaining it to her (I get anxious around therapists, not her fault, just bad past experiences) bit of rambling here, but you really got my brain to tick over :)
I think the best way to describe it is like they became a set of twins, with a good twin and a evil twin. two completely separate people who look identical, one great, one evil.
I think that with added context, that will be a great way to explain to her.

Could it also be described as a person isn't bad but a person can do bad things but can also do good things? If a person has done a bad thing to you you can also accept that they aren't bad to the core they do good things to, they may even do good things to you too. I suppose at the most extreme end of this could a jekyll and hyde type person where their character when they are doing bad things is far removed from their character when they are doing good things.

I don't think so? I literally thought there was two of them. Like, two completely separate physical beings.

Okay, just in case other people want to know... I did a little more research and I think it's reduplicative paramnesia, which is a type of delusion. *most* sites seem to only talk about reduplicative paramnesia in terms of duplicating places, however, I've seen a few places mention the duplication of people, as well.
