I don't know what to do. I'm pretty sure they're not real but unless I put down like, flea treatment stuff and do a complete deep clean I can't be sure.

But I can see the moths flying around my room/feel them landing n me but when I freak out and flap and run and jump and whatever, they disappear (My ultimate biggest phobia=moths) And I can feel bugs crawling/jumping on my body/head/arms/legs. I've scratched my skin raw, I've covered myself head-to-toe in clothes, I've showered 3 times but they won't go away and I don't know what to do. It's not like this is a one off, it's been almost every day for over a week and I can't live here like this for much longer...

If it isn't real, how can I stop it?

Are you still taking the quetiapine?

I took it once :ermm:
But, this has been going on since before I took it, and even if I'd continued, it wouldn't have stopped it. It doesn't 'fix' anything short-term as you keep reminding me. And the side efects are too strong. Although, I plan on starting it tomorrow at 6pm as I don't need to be up early on Thursday...

But the side effects will continue unless you take it for long enough for your body to get used to it!
Surely it would be better to get that out of the way before you start placement and things start getting too much again.

Placement didn't cause the issues last term.
I try but when t akes me so drowsy/there's nothing/nobody to remind me, I forget. And coupled with the gabapentin, the effects are basically dangerous - I turn into a walking zombie - literally!

The issues last time were in this same kind of pre-placement time frame.

Have you spoken to your doc about changing meds?

What's the longest you've actually taken it for?

My GP won't touch psych meds - I had to see a different Dr at the practice to get the repeat done & CMHT casually forgot to rearrange my outpatient psych appointment >.<

erm,6 days under HTT I think? and 3 of those were on EAU ><

As for the timeframe - not really. I don't start placement for anther 3 months. Things got quite bad last term around the end of september, so only 1 month before. My course revolves around placements, so I'll always be pre- or post- placement

could you start hassling the CMHT?
Remember you said to me that you know yoiu lose insight really quickly? So it's probably best to get this sorted out asap.

yeah, 6 days isn't really long enough! What dose did they start you on?

300mg back then, now they've dropped it to either 150 or 100 can't remember
No point, when I tried to hassle them about it in very early January they told me to discuss it with my psychologist [who is the poor sod that's ended up as my key worker] - and apparently according to the duty team, that means that I'm not *technically* under the CMHT because I don't have a CPN/Social worker etc

Did you discuss is with the psychologist?

Maybe the GP would be able to help you out with this, because if you aren't actually under the CMHT then it can't be their responsibility to sort meds, which means it's your GP?

No, I had to rearrange the appointment so by the time I saw him on the 21st I'd forgotten/he distracted me with talk of the past ¬¬

I can speak to her but I don't think she'll do anything because the other Dr sorted weekly scripts for the next 5 weeks of the quitiapine.

I am sick of this.

Maybe your GP could contact someone at the CMHT directly to discuss it with them? I think they do that sometimes!

Could you try and take a photo/video of the moths to look at and remind yourself that they're not there?

Patch.

I don't have any advice that Beckie hasn't already mentioned, but I just wanted to pop in to say I hope things get better soon. Also, taking a photo/video of them when you see them is a good idea. It'd help to look back over the pic/video when you are questioning whether they are real or not.

Hope something gets sorted for you soon
