Buddy Lists and Auto-subscribing to threads

I've searched for the answer to this, but can't seem to find it.

Is it possible to auto-subscribe to threads? For example to automatically be subscribed to any new thread someone on your buddy list makes?

I swear someone told me once that they had auto-subscribed to my threads for intensive stalking purposes, but I can't seem to find a way to do it *frowns*

I'm not sure that is possible, I only know how to subscribe to individual threads.
