broken bracelet

I recieved 3 bracelets from the RYL shop on saturday in the post (1 month, 3 month and a black RYL one, all with the glass beads)

and tonight one of the beads on my all black RYL one broke -( and ive only had it 3 days and had it off completly for one of those (While I was at work for about 10 hours)

I wouldnt normally mention it, but it was a bead that was between one of the letters..

Im happy to send it back or try and get pictures to show you that it is really broken


erm so yea... can anything be done or do i just have to accept that it is broken?

I'm sure that Tony [Harley's Dad] or Harley will be able to help you with that. Best bet would be to pm Harley's Dad first and see what he suggests.... but I'm sure they won't leave you with a broken bracelet darlin.

haha, and now my 1month free one broke... im a disaster sometimes, but i really liked that one and it made me feel like i had really achieved something... bleh

p.s if they are breaking so easily [they are glass beads so I'm sure they shouldn't be] would be a good thing for H to be aware of anyway. xx

My Ed Awareness one broke, the elastic snapped, beads went everywhere and I was at work.. I looked quite amusing looking around collecting all the beads. I had had it for aggeeess though and i'm getting it rethreaded when I get round to going to the shop. I agree with Chlo, speaking to Harley, Harleys dad might give you some answers to any questions etc.

Yeah we have been trying to source this bad batch, we VERY rarely get broken bracelets, and I am always really gutted to hear of them, and will do whatever is required to make things right.

Since the beads are glass and hand made in india, the quality can sometimes be an issue, and small faults in the beads can cause them to split, or have imperfections on the inside which cause the elastic (which is super strong) to wear through and snap.

A batch we had in about two weeks ago had to have about 2/3rds of the beads thrown away (we are very strict with them) and so I suspect it could have been from that lot.

Imperfections such as this are near impossible to pick up, and all we can do is either use rubbishy machine made beads, which would be a pity or to say to anyone that if yours does break PLEASE tell us and we are more than happy to send you out a replacement :)
