Linking to a Facebook page

I am not sure if this would break the rules or not so thought I would check here.

My cousin and his wife run a rabbit rescue and there is a page on facebook which are basically going to give them a large sum of money towards their rescue if they get a certain amount of votes. I have been doing everything I can do encourage people I know to vote, but they still need more and the closing date is the 30th April.

Given the amount of people on RYL, I was wondering whether it might be possible to make a thread for it in General Chat? With instructions on what it is all about and how to vote?

Would this be ok or against the rules?

If memory serves me correctly we have not allowed things like this in the past,however I will look into it in more detail and get back to you.

I think I read somewhere that its allowed if you had approval?

I remember a thread once asking people to vote for their pet in a competition.

Although it may have been a dream. I have weird dreams.

We don't allow threads but sometimes allow people to put links in signatures.
