Google chrome has decided that I'm not allowed on RYL, and displays this pleasant message:
"Danger: Malware Ahead!
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.recoveryourlife.com (http://www.recoveryourlife.com).
Content from topictorch.netseer.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss and permanent file deletion."
It comes up on the main homepage so I can't access anything. From previous threads it seems like maybe there's just a dodgy link somewhere, but I don't know technology things so I don't know what to do!
Halp?
P.S. Posting this via internet explorer which makes me want to kill myself, so please help soon or you'll all have a buffet to attend :P

Have you run a virus scan Jenna? Which anti-virus software does your computer have? I've heard recommended from a lot of people that malwarebytes is a very good one.

I'm getting the same issue with RYL on IE today. I'm on mozilla now and it is working ok, but I am also scanning my computer to make sure.

I have MSE, which as well as being the mean squared error, is antivirus thing that Andy recommends I think?
Perhaps I should download that malwarebytes chap as well?
I'm also downloading firefox because ain't nobody got time for IE

Firefox is awesome due solely to the fact that I use it! Also you may want to try resetting your Chrome settings to default. That has always worked for me on Firefox when I was afflicted by the dreaded Babylon virus!

Do you mean Firefox? :P Because some part of you seems set on still using Chrome and that means some part of you does not want us to be soulmates:crying:
But in order to stop hijacking this thread with tales of our secret love I do hope Firefox does the trick for you!
Also do you have an IT support line at uni you could possibly ring if your techno woe is prolonged? (See how I skillfully manoevered the thread back on topic-I really am trying to curtail my hijacking ways!)

oops, sorry! Have edited.
And no hijack related to our secret love is inappropriate. By the way, I hope you're getting me a Valentine's Day card!
And yes, I need to stop being avoidant and ring DSA about ALL the techno woes!

Apparently this is happening to many Google Chrome users currently, after a quick whip of the web.
From what I can tell it's a problem on Google Chrome's side, with their new security feature being way too overprotective and thinking every website contains malware. That or an extremely common, sneaky and infectious virus. The former is more probable :)
Try this:
1) Click on the Chrome menu in your browser toolbar
2) Go to Settings
3) Click 'Show Advanced Settings'
3) Go to the 'Privacy' section
5) Deselect 'Enable phishing and malware protection'.
