Hi :)
Just a quick request....if you PR a thread for spam and its obvious spam like what we have been getting lately and then you see another thread by the same person can you hold off PRing it please. Only because we go to the members profile and delete all the messages at once so we dont have the comb the forums for this.
It wouldnt normally be necessary but the PM box is really flooded with PRs (Which isnt me complaining) but its getting difficult to see the other issues that have been PRd because of the stupid spam.
Thank you an thanks for PRing!x

So, there was a (very short) discussion here (http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3446876#post3446876) on a spam thread about posting "reported" on a spam thread to stop others PRing it and clogging up the inbox.
Is this a good or bad thing? Just curious.

I would say not replying is the best thing....if more than one person PRs it it just goes to one thread so it doesnt clog up the inbox.People replying to it isnt helpful on threads that arent just spam because it means we have to start editing posts and so on.

Thats ok! Basically if 6 people report a spam thread it will all make on thread in the PR bin.If a member PRs 6 different threads by the same spam bot it makes 6 threads in the PR bin.Normally this isnt a problem but when there is a lot of spam and that happens we cant see the wood for the trees!
Thanks for being understand guys, really do appreciate it.xx

My logic now is that I don't need to report it because you should be able to see it - if you cant you need your eyes testing :P

Thats alright!I dont want anyone to think Im being ungrateful for spam reporting....just hoping if people know how it works then they can help us not drown in PRs ^_^ x

I know I used to report individual posts because I thought that's how they were dealt with rather going to the profile itself and sorting it that way. I think it's helpful understanding how the system etc works!
