Has anyone taken lorazepam? Has it made you feel tired, weak, nauseated and with no appetite? I don't know what to do as its now the weekend and I can't call my doctor.

Lorazepam varies from person to person, I've been on it a few times now and I remember feeling those symptoms.
But Lorazepam is "a high-potency short-to-intermediate-acting 3-hydroxy benzodiazepine drug that has all five intrinsic benzodiazepine effects: anxiolytic, amnesic, sedative/hypnotic, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant." - (Wikipedia.)
So, it can make you feel any of those symptoms.
It can be quite powerful, so it's to be expected considering the nature of this drug.
This is what is said about side effects that can occur;
"
drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness;
blurred vision;
sleep problems;
muscle weakness, lack of balance or coordination;
amnesia or forgetfulness, trouble concentrating;
nausea, vomiting, constipation;
appetite changes; or
skin rash."Hope the above has helped somewhat?
I would call NHS direct if you feel worse or any worrying symptoms occur and ask for their advice(or you can call them now for advice on what to do, they may be more specialized, your choice).
Take care.

Thanks for the inforation however here in the us I don't believe there is a number for me to call unless it's my doctors office and more likely than not if I don't need to go to the er then they will take a message and I'll have to wait till. Monday as tonight is Friday. I'm so over this. I can't stand it.

If it's that bad, I wouldn't take it until you see your doctor.

I guess I'm just tired of feeling this way and I'm sorry if I got short with anyone. I feel like i tell my doctor the same things every time I go and see him and each time he does nothing until I've reached my breaking point. I'm working on seeing a new doctor soon. I have an appointment but there is a waiting period for a new patient appointment so I'm struggling to hang in there until then.
redroses....the info you did post was very helpful. Sorry.
I think I was hoping or had hope that maybe there would be some relief but shortly after starting the med I realized it actually made me worse in some ways. I had to wait through the entire weekend, which when time doesn't seem to be moving feels like an eternity. When I called my doctor yesterday and told him I felt like it made me worse he was kinda dumbfounded by me saying that because he said that doesn't normally happen. Well I certainly hope it doesn't normally happen.
I'm now trying now I'm trying buspirone I have never ever tired or heard of this medicine before. Crossing my fingers.
