Hello RYL-ers,
I just wanted to make a thread (I have searched to see if one had already been made, but it hasn't as far as I can see) to remind you all that it's World Mental Health Day on 10th October!
For this year, the Mental Health Foundation are following the success of 'Tea and Talk' from last year, this year they want to get even more people nattering over a cuppa to help change lives.
The Mental Health Foundation are calling for people to hold a Tea and Talk event on or around World Mental Health Day! :D
Arranging your Tea and Talk can be simple, here are 4 easy steps to help you get started:
Set the date - we are holding our Tea and Talk event on the 8th October, but you can hold your event on a date that suits you.
Choose where to hold your event. You can hold your Tea and Talk party at home, in the office at your local hall - in fact anywhere you can make a cuppa!
Invite as many friends or colleagues as possible. The more people you have, the bigger difference you can make. Use our invites included in the Tea and Talk pack. If your guests can’t attend the may still wish to make a donation!
Suggest a donation amount for people to give - we recommend around £5 per person.
We would love for you to share your plans, pics and motivation - tell us why taking part in Tea and Talk is so important to you. Find out what your fellow Tea and Talkers are up to, inspire them and be inspired!
Order a FREE Tea and Talk pack! (http://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/get-involved/community-fundraising/tea-and-talk/order-pack/)

£100 will help fund a day’s research to find new, better ways to fight suffering caused by mental illness
£150 will enable us to place vital information in 300 GP Surgeries
