sorry if this is the wrong forum to post.
my anxiety has got alot worse lately, i can't sleep and feel a constant feeling of being on edge and restless. my twitching has got alot worse always having to do little tics with my toes and fingers and it's driving me mad. if i concentate hard enough i can stop them, but the urge is so strong. I feel like pulling my hair out.
I have cut out all caffine, but it's still there. I have tried breathing excercises too. not working. I don;t know what to do, i am so tired and just want to rest :'( hugs?

do you know why you are so anxious?
i find that if i know the reason and then work on that it helps.

i don't know, nothing in particular. It seems that i just get feelings of intense anxiety and feelings of being on edge at random times.

I have the same thing bella, anxiety without a clear trigger. Currently mine is being considered as some disorders thing. Basically, they reckon one of the traumatic experiences in my past has lain dormant for years, and it's now coming back to me. I'm not even thinking of it, just scents, sights, sounds etc are reminding me subconsciously of the fear I felt.
Is it possible that you could be suffering from this?
Grrr....

Sometimes you just have to wait out the anxiety, if I find that nothings working sometimes I shake my hands or let my knees bounce or something like that and it usually helps let all the anxiety out, and helps.

I understand the feeling - anxiety without a known cause likes to get out of control, and my sleep has suffered from it recently. I run myself through small conversations in order to calm down, just to see if I can find a trigger. If not, I find little things to keep myself busy, like a lovely little clicking website, or simply typing out everything I think of. Not dwelling on it too much seems to help.
I know this is probably bad, but I eat ice cream when I'm anxious; I'm sorely addicted to sugar and it makes me feel better.
Clonazepam.
:satisfied: Or else go for a run...as long and as hard as you can go, until there's nothing left, just make sure to warm up first. I'm Bipolar and the anxiety gets bad sometimes and I try to avoid taking any extra pills unless necessary. Being physically healthy, I find that getting my heart rate up and strength training help to alleviate some of the Anxiety.
Basic, but it works.

ken running is a good idea, I used to go for long walks at night, which helped calm me down a bit.

just to say, it has got alot better. I dunno why, i am thinking it might be because i had to have blood taken and i have a phobia of needles.

Sertraline! It's not something to live on or anything but it helps you get through the bad patches... it helps clear your mind so you can think more clearly about the problem.
Also as trite as it sounds the exercise thing REALLY helps.
