The 'giving something back' thread?

Hmm i don't really know how to explain this, but didn't there used to be a thread in here something along the lines of 'giving something back'?

It had suggestions like the 5 replies rule, sending a random PM to a random member etc. It was a sticky thread as far as i remember.

I know for most of us, it's stuff we do without having to be reminded, but i remember when i first joined, i got the random PM idea from there, and i thought it was a good thread.

I was gonna just re-write it all and post it, but i might be missing it hiding somewhere, and my mind isn't anywhere near awake enough to do a good job of it at the moment.

On v3, things behind the scenes have changed quite a lot.

The forums, chat and main site sections are all run by so called 'Member Schemes' which are member run teams of helpful superstars who help make RYL what it is.

Getting a system that will truly allow RYL's members to shape the community is a complex thing, especially when it has to be done for so many members and made so simple.

It is now pretty much done, which is why content is now starting to leak onto the site, and it will continue over the next two weeks until everything is up.

once that point is reached, we will open the doors for these members schemes to allow those members who wish to give something back to do so :)

There are also plans to bring some of those ideas back somewhere else.

So they will be up and available soon, in their original form or an improved one :)
