Safe - Headache
I have a really bad headache at the moment and I can't take anything for it so are there any good ways to deal with headaches? I realise computers probably aren't best for them but nevermind...
I think I got the headache from going the gym, probably just over-worked a little bit and got too hot but I came home and had a bath and have had dinner and drank lots of water. It seems to be getting better while I sit down, but when I stand up it feel like somebody is squashing my head from either side!
I haven't got any head injuries so like I said I think its just from over-heating or something but I have a bit of a temperature too I think and my head just really hurts. Any advice?

Can you answer the following questions please:
Headaches - Did the headache start suddenly?
- Is the pain getting worse?
- How long have you had the headache?
- Do you have any neck pain?
- Do you have a temperature?
- Do you have a runny nose?
- Are you under any more stress than normal?
- Does light hurt your eyes?

Um, this is probably a bit late now- I had to go offline yesterday. I still have a bit of a headache this morning but it's nowhere near as bad as yesterday.
Just in case it's useful though:- Headache started suddenly, but it kept getting worse.
- It was really bad for a few hours, I still have it now but it's more of a dull pain.
- No neck pain or runny nose but had a temperature (yesterday).
- Under a lot of stress, probably more than normal also been purging a lot more recently.
- Light tends to hurt my eyes a bit anyway, I think I just have sensitive eyes or something. It wasn't any worse than normal.
Thanks

Sounds like it cold be stress related or else maybe the begining of a cold.
If you cant take anyting for it, then I would recomened lying in a dark room.
A warm towel around your neck may also help.
Also, try to relax. Maybe have a warm (not hot) bath.
I would probably avoid exercising till its gone. You dont want to go overheating again.
Take care

you can also get these really cool stick things for headaches. They are called cooling sticks and are like menthol or something. You rub it on your head (they look a bit like lip salve) and it helps cool it down.
