erm... yea, this might sound silly asking but I kinda need some re-assurance
Andrew (le boyfriend) had a blood test on Friday cos hes been ill/feeling "off" for ages
and his doctor thought he might have Glandular Fever
his results came back today but they were inconclusive
so he thinks he might have had it and just be at the end of it just now, or he might just be a carrier or something
he is getting another blood test done on Friday, but I need to go for one
but I haven't been feeling all that ill... sore throat on and off, cold like symptoms (blocked nose, sneezing loads) and sore stomachs and headaches (as well as a sore neck which still hasn't completely cleared...)
but, could I have it and just not have realized/it not have developed yet? or could I be a carrier? or could I be freaking out about nothing? would I know by now if I had it? (remembering that he didn't definitely have it)
I hate blood tests -/ and I really cant be ill, I cant miss more work or I will run out of money completely soon

Gladular fever can affect everybody differntly.
Some people tend to get extreme symptons whilst others hardly notice.
It is possible that even if you have it you may not get any worse than you currently are.
There are no specfic treatments for Glandular fever, as anti biotics can actually make you feel worse. However, you can take regular pain relief if needed, as recomended by you pharmacist.
t is possible that you have had it, it is possible that you already have it. It is also possible that you may be a carrier. However, these things are nothing to worry about. Take it one day at a time. Iwould however suggest not kissing anybody until after your diagnosis is confirmed by your bloodresults/GP. If you have it, there is nothing to say that you will get any worse.
he might not even have it, but if he does, i will probably have got it aswell, so yea
I need to go get tested just incase, but i cant even book an appointment for the test until i know when im working... so now i get to worry about it and bleh

his doctor is in aberdeenshire, mine is in edinburgh, so no, andrew was just advised by his doctors to tell me to go get tested when his test came back inconclusive.
we arent that close, so they should be okay then?

Your best option is to be careful and make sure everything is washed properly and such. Then ask your GP.
They can advise youbetter as they are able to examine you and such.
Well I've been inconclusively tested for glandular fever about three or four times now, some doctors reckon I've been suffering from it for about two years and others think I just have a low immune system.
It's harder to diagnose than you'd hope it would appear...all we know is I've definately had contact with the virus.
But no one has ever suggested to me that anyone else I know get tested.
If people around you start feeling off I guess you could suggest it but I really don't think it's that much of a threat.
