GO TO A DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an injury that should have been seen by a doctor right away and wasn't and is now exhibiting signs of being infected. Yet, you are still saying "I'll wait another day". If you keep waiting another day every day and it is infected you can end up with an infection in your whole body that can cause brain, heart, liver, and kidney damage!!!

PLEASE get checked out ASAP!!!!!

I know how ridiculous it sounds, but i honestly can't :(

I really want to, i know all the dangers and that it most likley won't get better by itself, but i can't.

My doctor is ignorant, he can barley understand when i tell him i've got a sore throat, let alone how i could ask him for help with a self inflicted injury, i'd also like to ask him for advice on who to talk to about getting help, but yet again, i know he wouldn't understand or get what i mean. I'd pop by the A&E, but you can wait up to 6 hours to be seen to, and that's for a fracture, i can only imagine how long i'd wait for a "Cut" i haven't got an oppurtunity to sit and wait like 10 hours, i've got work every day :(

I have some left over "Amoxacillin" it's a antibiotic, when i had tonselitis i had to take a few of em, 2 times a day, would it be worth trying taking a few of them every so often just to see if it helps? Sorry for the burden.

Taking anti biotics not prescribed for the wound will not help. They affect differnt types of bacteria.
You need to get it seen. Do you have a local walk in center? Maybe you could request to see a differnt doctor?
You said you dont want to sit that time in A&E due to work. Well whats worse, to sit that time? Or to have to take months off while you go for painful proceures to try to cure any damage done by the infection? Which might not be repearable if you leave it much longer.
In the end you and your health is what matters. Not the opinions of the doc. You have prob been scared by horror reports of people who have been. But its not always like that. As a nurse, I have seen many self inflicted injuries through work. The patients have always recieved the same care as anyone else.
Please seek help before it gets to the point where it cant be fixed!!

Taking antibiotics that are old and were not prescribed for the specific infection you might have can do more harm then good. First off Amoxicillin is not a good medication for skin infections, because of how it is designed to work.

Secondly the antibiotic is old and you probably don't have enough left for a full course of treatment. If you take a few pills of it here and there the bacteria from the infection won't get weaker, it will get stronger, and then some antibiotics may not work at all for it.

You don't have to go to your regular doctor, go to a walk in clinic or see a different doctor. You also don't have to tell them where you got the injury. One way or another, you need to do something NOW before it's too late.

Okay, i went a bit earlier, i was really quite scared, i got in with the doctor (An out of hours doctor) and basically said "I've got a cut on my arm, i think it's infected.

He looked at it (Also i have around 15 open wounds next to it, and ALOT of scars.

I think he wanted to say something, and he said another of my cuts looked slightly infected, he said he'd be right back, i noticed him glancing at me talking to a nurse, he came back in, and told me what to take and gave me the antibiotics, it went better then exected :/ But i still wish i didn't have to go :( :(

It's good that you went, even if it was hard. At least now you know that you are strong enough to go and get checked out if you need to.

I'm happy you went to the doctor's. Isn't it relieving now that you've got the antibiotics to treat it? Even if the doctor did look at you strangely, it was probably just out of concern. Besides, you won't ever have to see him again.
One thing though: about 'next time', how's about you try to focus on there not being a next time? I know it seems impossible to quit SI'ing, and I won't tell you to stop because that would just be hypocrisy on my part, but please do try to focus on the positives and be gentle with yourself, okay?

So long ago, was it in a dream, was it just a dream?
I know, yes I know
Seemed so very real, it seemed so real to me

Through the heat whispered trees
I thought I could hear
Somebody call out my name as it started to rain
Two spirits dancing so strange
