Hiya,

I figured this is as good a place as any to ask this and dont much want to start a thread.

Has anyone had DBT more than once and found it useful the second time round?

Hoe everyone is ok and sending supportive vibes to people.

Given enough tea I could rule the world.

I did DBT for a year and whilst the repetition knocks the principles and concepts into you, only parts were effective, parts that were helpful to me. Stuff I didn't like/didn't work exited my brain and went out the window

beautiful ring Liddy :) how are you doing?

Well done Chrissy, what will you be doing on your course?

How are you Cheryl?

Hi chinahorse, I've only party done DBT once, I found it very hard and didn't like it, especially the mindfulness stuff. But have no experience of doing it a second time. Hope it helps you.

How is everyone else?

I was supposed to be going to London today for an appointment at the gender identity clinic, but they cancelled it last week, so am waiting for a rearranged appointment, which is frustrating. My mum and sister are coming to visit today though.

Liddy congrats again and adghdsgs your ring is lovely :)

Oliver that's too bad they cancelled.the appt. I hope they reschedule one soon! It's great your mom and sister are visiting though! I hope you have loads of fun!:)

Chrissy congrats for both your volunteering interview and college! Starting a new course is really exciting! I'm starting uni this September so that makes two of us. Really proud of you :) its great that you're being so motivated and thinking of your boy so much , you're a very good mom X

How are you Cheryl? I don't know much about DBT, though I've heard that if you try hard to do what they teach you over time it works well. I'm glad it went well :)

I have been swimming daily for the laat week or so. Been pushing myself abit..I really want to make the team at uni but my times are terrible for now. What's worse, I have a stomach bug and a giant load if paperwork and stuff to do as I'm moving countries..

Thanks witchy I feel like a useless and I'm utterly terrified about going them both !!

I'm sorry to seem like I'm not been supportive I'm just really got my own problems and my benefit was stopped and I was told to apply for ESA and that I need a sick note from gp and supporting letter from my mental health worker and I'm worried she won't give it and I can't afford my travel and stuff probably I only have dla to get on with and it could take ages to come through with the ESA and my gf starts her job so she's coming off her benefits soon and I'm worried that my housing benefit could get stopped and could mess my flat up and my tenant support worker is on A/L untill sept I don't even know what's I'm gonna do nows

This is so hard arghhh

Chrissy sweetheart you are not useless. I know it can be terrifying, starting a new course as well as volunteering. I have a lot of experience with volunteering and its awesome. I'm sure you'll love it and there's nothing to be scared about. Try t be a tad more confident.

I'm so sorry about your financial situation. As I'm.not from the UK I can't really offer much advive:( when is your tenant sw returning ? And why are you worried your mh workwe won't help you? Is she unsupportive?

2nd September is just next week. I think Tuesday. I'm sure it'll be alright. Call her when she's back x

As for your mh worker, she doesn't sound too reliable..you could tell her you need the letter ASAP and keep pushing her so she gives you the letter the same day.
